Summary of Thesis Results: Consumer protection is a pressing and topical issue today; however, in Vietnam, this issue seems to have not received adequate attention. Currently, the rights of Vietnamese consumers are increasingly being seriously violated. The problems of counterfeit goods, fake products, deceptive promotions, and unreasonable prices are becoming more and more widespread. Meanwhile, the sanctions and forces to protect consumers are still lacking and insufficient to change the situation and protect the practical rights of consumers. In recent years, mass media in Vietnam have made many efforts in reflecting and fighting to protect consumer rights. For the press, protecting consumers is a glorious but also challenging task, and it's a "hot" issue that many newspapers focus on, attracting significant reader attention. It's one of the ways the press fulfills its function and mission and "survives" in the public eye. Vietnamese journalism in general, and online newspapers in particular, with their rapid information dissemination and high interactivity, have been effective in fighting to protect consumers and restore fairness in society. This thesis researches theoretical issues regarding the function and role of journalism, as well as the current state and role of consumer protection in journalism, to provide readers with a comprehensive overview of consumer protection in Vietnamese journalism. Research, survey, and analyze the role of the press in protecting consumers and combating counterfeit goods... so that journalists understand their role and responsibilities, and readers become more aware of their own rights, thereby achieving greater effectiveness in the fight for consumer protection through the press. 11. Practical application: Press agencies enhance the effectiveness of communication in consumer protection, and consumers raise their awareness of how to protect themselves against violations of their rights. 12. Further research directions: None. 13. Published works related to the thesis: None.
