The Congress summarized and evaluated the achievements of Party Branch I of the Administrative Block, as well as pointed out limitations and lessons learned during the 2017-2020 term; and outlined the direction for the 2020-2022 term.
After hearing the full text of the draft political report presented to the 28th Party Congress of the University and the draft political report of the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Congress provided feedback to finalize these two important documents. Following the guidance of the University Party Committee, the Congress proceeded to elect the new Party Committee for the new term and other positions within the committee. Accordingly, Comrade Bui Thanh Nam - Head of the Training Department - was re-elected as Secretary of the Party Branch; Comrade Pham Huy Cuong - Deputy Head of the Political and Student Affairs Department - continued to serve as Deputy Secretary; and Comrade Dao Minh Quan - Deputy Head of the Training Department - was elected as a Party Committee member. At the conclusion of the election, in addition to the three ex-officio delegates who are Party Committee members currently active in the branch, the Congress unanimously elected seven comrades representing the 20 Party members in the branch to attend the 28th Party Congress of the University in the near future.

Attending and speaking at the congress, Comrade Hoang Anh Tuan - Party Committee member, Vice Rector of the School - highly appreciated the achievements and efforts of the collective of Party members and staff of the Rectorate I. During the 2017-2020 term, the collective of cadres and Party members were dedicated, proactive, and creative, successfully completing the set targets and tasks; continuing to affirm the important position of the Party Branch in the political system of the School, playing the role of two units with the function of advising and assisting the School's Board of Directors in two areas of work directly related to students: training; and political and student affairs.
Party members unanimously voted to approve the draft Resolution of the Party Branch Congress for the 2020-2022 term. On behalf of the new Party Branch Committee, Comrade Bui Thanh Nam - Secretary of the Party Branch - called on all party members in the Branch to continue to uphold the pioneering role of each party member, be exemplary in their work, actively mobilize the masses to successfully complete assigned tasks; successfully implement the contents of the Congress Resolution, contributing to the overall success of the School's Party Committee.
