Attending and directing the Congress were comrade Nguyen Van Kim - Secretary of the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities; comrade Dang Thi Thu Huong - Standing Member, Head of the Propaganda Department of the Party Committee of the University; comrade Nguyen Chi Trung - representative of the Party Committee Office of the University.
On the side of the Faculty Party Cell, there were comrade Tran Ngoc Lieu - Member of the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Party Cell Secretary, Deputy Head of the Faculty of Philosophy, comrade Nguyen Anh Tuan - Head of the Faculty of Philosophy; representatives of the Youth Union, Youth Union, and Association of the Faculty of Philosophy, and 37 party members of the Faculty Party Cell.
The Congress approved the Summary Report for the 2017-2020 term and the working direction for the 2020-2022 term. Accordingly, the Summary Report for the 2017-2020 term mentioned the above achievements in the activities of the Party Cell: political and ideological work; organization and personnel; training, compilation of textbooks/lectures; scientific research; Party building and leadership of mass organizations; administrative and financial work. During the 2020-2022 term, the Party Committee of the Faculty of Philosophy has set out general and specific directions in the activities, determining the construction of the Faculty of Philosophy in the direction of a research university. Activities: strengthening international integration, improving teaching capacity, increasing the quantity and quality of international publications are key tasks and top priorities.
Contributing to the Political Report of the Party Cell, the Party members made many suggestions on professional training for the next generation of cadres; increasing international publications; organizing and implementing scientific topics; enrollment work and annual publication targets for lecturers. In addition, the delegates also contributed their opinions to the Draft Political Report of the Party Executive Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities at the 28th Congress of the University's Party Delegates, term 2020-2025.
Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Nguyen Van Kim - Secretary of the School's Party Committee highly appreciated the achievements of the Philosophy Faculty Party Cell in the past term, especially emphasizing that the Philosophy Faculty Party Cell is the only unit in the entire Party Committee to achieve the title of "Strong and Clean Party Cell" for 5 consecutive years. The Party Committee Secretary also directed the Party Cell to carry out training tasks in parallel with scientific research, carry out projects and research topics, establish a strong research group in Philosophy and standardize the staff. With a long history, tradition and great potential of the next generation, the Party Committee Secretary believes that the Philosophy Faculty Party Cell will excellently complete the tasks set out in the 2020-2022 term.
With a high sense of responsibility and promoting the spirit of democracy, the Congress elected the Party Cell Executive Committee for the 2020-2022 term, consisting of 05 comrades who meet the standards of qualities and leadership capacity, representing Party members in the Party Cell; reflecting continuity, inheritance and innovation. The list includes: Comrade Tran Thi Dieu - Party Cell Secretary; Comrade Nguyen Thi Lan - Party Cell Member; Comrade Pham Hoang Giang - Party Cell Member; Comrade Ngo Dang Toan - Party Cell Member; Comrade Mai K Da - Party Cell Member. The Congress elected a delegation of 18 comrades to attend the 28th Party Congress of the School.
On behalf of the comrades in the Party Cell for the 2020-2022 term, Party Cell Secretary Tran Thi Dieu expressed her thanks and hoped to continue to receive the attention and close guidance of the Party Committee and the School Board of Directors; and thanked the Party members for their trust in the Party Cell. The new Party Cell Committee affirmed its determination to inherit the tradition and promote the spirit of solidarity and creativity of the Faculty Party Cell to complete the Resolution of the Faculty Party Cell Congress for the 2020-2022 term.
