Philosophy Department Party Branch: Achieved the title of "Clean and Strong Party Branch" for 5 consecutive years.

Attending and directing the Congress were Comrade Nguyen Van Kim - Secretary of the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities; Comrade Dang Thi Thu Huong - Standing Committee Member, Head of the Propaganda Department of the University's Party Committee; and Comrade Nguyen Chi Trung - representative of the University's Party Committee office.

Representing the Faculty's Party Branch were Comrade Tran Ngoc Lieu - Member of the Executive Committee of the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Secretary of the Party Branch, Deputy Head of the Philosophy Faculty; Comrade Nguyen Anh Tuan - Head of the Philosophy Faculty; representatives from the Faculty's Staff Youth Union, the Faculty's Student Union, and the Faculty's Student Association, along with 37 Party members of the Faculty's Party Branch.

The Congress adopted the Report summarizing the 2017-2020 term and the work plan for the 2020-2022 term. Accordingly, the Report summarizing the 2017-2020 term mentioned achievements in various aspects of the Party Branch's activities: political and ideological work; organization and personnel; training, curriculum/lecture preparation; scientific research; Party building and leadership of mass organizations; and administrative and financial work. For the 2020-2022 term, the Philosophy Faculty Party Committee has outlined general and specific directions in various areas of activity, defining the development of the Philosophy Faculty towards a research university orientation. Activities such as strengthening international integration, improving teaching capacity, and increasing the quantity and quality of international publications are key tasks and top priorities.

Contributing to the Party Branch's Political Report, Party members offered numerous suggestions regarding professional training for the next generation of cadres; strengthening international publications; organizing and implementing scientific research projects; student recruitment; and annual publication targets for lecturers. In addition, delegates also contributed opinions to the Draft Political Report of the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities at the 28th Party Congress of the University, term 2020-2025.

Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Nguyen Van Kim - Secretary of the University's Party Committee - highly appreciated the achievements of the Philosophy Department's Party Branch in the past term, especially emphasizing that the Philosophy Department's Party Branch is the only unit in the entire Party Committee to achieve the title of "Exemplary Clean and Strong Party Branch" for five consecutive years. The Party Committee Secretary also directed the Party Branch to simultaneously carry out training tasks with scientific research, implement research projects and topics, establish a strong research group in Philosophy, and standardize the staff. With its rich history, tradition, and the great potential of its successors, the Party Committee Secretary expressed confidence that the Philosophy Department's Party Branch will excellently fulfill the tasks set for the 2020-2022 term.

With a high sense of responsibility and promoting democratic principles, the Congress elected the Party Committee for the 2020-2022 term, consisting of 5 members who meet the criteria in terms of character, leadership capacity, and are exemplary Party members in the Party branch; reflecting continuity, inheritance, and innovation. The list includes: Comrade Tran Thi Dieu - Secretary of the Party Branch; Comrade Nguyen Thi Lan - Party Committee Member; Comrade Pham Hoang Giang - Party Committee Member; Comrade Ngo Dang Toan - Party Committee Member; and Comrade Mai K. Da - Party Committee Member. The Congress also elected a delegation of 18 members to attend the 28th Party Congress of the University.

On behalf of the Party Committee members for the 2020-2022 term, Party Secretary Tran Thi Dieu expressed gratitude and hoped to continue receiving the close attention and guidance of the Party Committee and the School's Board of Directors; and thanked the Party members for their trust. The new Party Committee affirmed its determination to inherit the traditions and promote the spirit of unity and creativity of the Faculty's Party Branch to fulfill the Resolution of the Faculty's Party Branch Congress for the 2020-2022 term.
