Promoting the spirit of solidarity and consensus for a common goal.
The Party cell of the Faculty of History always emphasizes the importance of political and ideological work for staff and students; it thoroughly disseminates the policies, resolutions, and conclusions of the Party at all levels to its members; it educates Party members and staff on the challenges and issues arising in the training and research of history in the new context; the necessity of opening new training programs; the trend of integration, and the necessity of interconnectedness in training and scientific research between departments and between lecturers from different departments. Young Party members clearly understand their role and responsibility in continuing the legacy of previous generations and enhancing their capacity for international integration. During the 2017-2020 term, the Party cell admitted 19 new Party members, including 16 students.

The spirit of solidarity, consensus, and high sense of responsibility among staff and students, especially all Party members in the Party branch, is a decisive factor in the collective strength of the Party branch and the Faculty in building and implementing action programs and work plans.
Outstanding and comprehensive achievements
The Party Committee, in coordination with the Faculty Board and Departments, has stabilized and supplemented personnel, promoted the achievement of academic rank and degree standards, and carried out training and scientific research tasks for Party members and staff in the Faculty. During the 2017-2020 term, the Faculty added 3 lecturers; 1 staff member was appointed professor, 2 staff members were appointed associate professor, 5 staff members defended their doctoral dissertations, and 8 staff members continued to complete their Master's/Doctoral programs and will defend their dissertations in 2020-2021.

In 2019, the Faculty completed the task of evaluating the quality of the Bachelor of History program according to the AUN-QA program evaluation standards. The work of compiling textbooks, lectures, and course outlines was intensified. The Youth Union and Student Association activities were diverse and supportive of academic activities and fostered connections among students. Student internships and practical training were implemented in various appropriate and effective forms.
The Faculty of History has always affirmed its position as one of the leading centers for training and research in history in the country. Faculty staff have been leading and participating in many scientific projects at various levels: State level (18 projects), Hanoi National University level (07), University of Social Sciences and Humanities level (06), projects in cooperation with localities (05), projects funded by international funds (04).
In just two years, 2018 and 2019, faculty members of the Department published 218 scientific works, including books, book chapters, and articles. Notably, 20 works were published in foreign languages, some of which were published by prestigious international journals and publishers (with ISI/SCOPUS indexes).
Many faculty members of the Department have received awards. In 2019, the National Book Award Council awarded one B Prize and one C Prize to two authors who are faculty members of the History Department. In addition, several faculty members of the History Department are also authors of works such as "The process of formation and development of the Southern region of VietnamIt won the A Prize of this Award. Many research projects and dissertations by faculty members in the Department have won awards from the Pham Than Duyat History Foundation and the Dinh Xuan Lam History Foundation.
In 2018, 2019, and early 2020, the Faculty co-organized 8 conferences (4 international conferences, 3 national conferences, and 1 university-level conference) and 16 scientific seminars. From 2017 to 2020, more than 30 staff members were sent to attend international scientific conferences or advanced professional training courses abroad.
Developing in a multi-sectoral direction to meet the ever-increasing needs of society.
In order to innovate, improve quality, and meet the needs of undergraduate and postgraduate training, the Party Committee directed the development of a Master's Program in Cultural Management, which began admitting students in 2019. The multidisciplinary development direction is also clearly demonstrated by the Faculty's development of a Bachelor's Program in Cultural Studies, which began admitting students in 2020.

The specific tasks that the entire Party Branch of the Faculty of History is setting for the new term are to continue innovating the leadership methods of the Party Branch towards strengthening democratic practices, promoting collective intelligence, and building a clean and strong Party Branch; to promote the organization and development of the staff; to maintain its position as a leading, high-quality center for history training and research in the country, and to move towards a multidisciplinary approach to meet the increasingly high demands of society; to promote and expand scientific research cooperation and policy consulting with localities; and to actively and proactively seek funding sources for scientific research.
