Party cell of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, term 2017-2020: Promoting the spirit of democracy.

Looking back at the past term (2017-2020), with the attention and guidance of the University's Party Committee, the Faculty's Party Branch, together with the unit's collective, has completed the assigned tasks and objectives, achieving many accomplishments in various aspects of activities: training, scientific research, external relations, etc.

The Party Committee of the Party Branch has continuously promoted its role and responsibilities, effectively utilizing the inherent capabilities and advantages of each cadre and Party member to fulfill assigned tasks. Political ideology and the quality of the cadre team have been consistently strengthened, thereby enhancing the Party's capacity and fighting strength. Specifically, 100% of Party members are qualified and have completed their tasks. The Party Branch has achieved the title of "Clean and Strong Party Branch". 100% of cadres and Party members participate in studying and following the example, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh, fully participate in studying resolutions, maintain a firm ideological stance, and have absolute confidence in the Party's leadership. During the past term, the Party Branch has nurtured and admitted more outstanding individuals into the Party, including student Party members. To date, the total number of Party members in the entire Party Branch is 24, including 11 cadres and 14 students, an increase of 12 members compared to the beginning of the term.

In all activities of the Faculty, the Party Committee and the Faculty Management Board always follow this direction:For training and student affairs - the learner is at the center; for organization, personnel management, and professional activities - the department is the foundation.In particular, all Party members in the Party branch recognize that international cooperation is a strength and a driving force for the development of the Faculty, and therefore always set the goal of promoting regional and international integration in training and scientific research activities.

The Faculty Party Branch consistently promotes a democratic spirit in all its activities. When addressing important Faculty matters related to organizational structure, external relations, training, and scientific research, the Party Branch always seeks consensus among its members before disseminating the information to all faculty and staff. As a result, the Party Branch has built a strong internal structure, fostering unity among faculty and staff, ensuring consistent adherence to discipline and order, and providing impetus for achieving the goals set forth in the Party Branch Resolution.

The Party cell informed the faculty, staff, and students in the Faculty about the general political activities of the entire university; actively carried out preparatory steps for the Party cell congress, such as planning, preparing documents, soliciting feedback from Party members on the congress documents, and organizing a Party member conference to nominate candidates for the new Party cell committee. Despite the global COVID-19 pandemic, the Party cell committee and its members still organized the conference in accordance with the Party committee's procedures and guidelines, as well as the Ministry of Health's recommendations, ensuring the safety of all participating delegates.

Regarding the Congress, the preparation of the political report, especially the personnel plan, was discussed frankly and democratically before reaching a consensus. A favorable aspect of the Party Branch's preparation was the spirit of unity, democracy, and the determination of each Party member to successfully complete their assigned tasks. The comrades nominated for election to the new Party Committee are all exemplary, leading, enthusiastic, dedicated, and sociable Party members who enjoy the trust of the faculty and students in the Department.

It can be said that the Party Branch Congress is a broad political activity within the Party, an opportunity to educate cadres, Party members, and the masses about the Party's leadership role; to promote patriotic emulation movements; and to successfully implement the resolutions of Party congresses at all levels. The Party Branch of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, with its new Party Committee, promises to successfully complete the assigned tasks, build a clean and strong Party organization, and work alongside the Faculty's leadership to bring about new and comprehensive developments in all areas for the Faculty of Oriental Studies.
