Attending the Congress were comrade Nguyen Van Kim - Secretary of the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, comrade Nguyen Quang Lieu - Party Committee member in charge of monitoring the Faculty Party Cell, representatives of the Party Committee Office and 13 Party members of the Party Cells of two units: the Faculty of Information - Library and the Center for Training and Application of Information Technology.
The Congress unanimously affirmed that the 2018-2020 term is a successful term of the Party Cell with many breakthroughs and bright spots in the unit's achievements. Specifically, the Faculty has newly built and completed 06 training programs from bachelor to doctorate, especially the high-quality Information Management program at the university level. Foreign affairs activities, development cooperation, scientific research and union work have achieved positive results, laying the foundation for new developments in the future. In addition, the Congress pointed out that the focus in the next term of the Party Cell of the Faculty of Information and Library is personnel work, specifically focusing on developing high-quality human resources for the unit. Contributing important and dedicated opinions to the Party Cell, the Party members expressed their confidence in a new term with many breakthroughs in all fields.
On behalf of the School Party Committee, Comrade Nguyen Van Kim - Party Committee Secretary highly appreciated the success of the unit, including the important role of the Party Committee and Party Cell in leading and directing activities. Affirming that this is a united and unanimous collective, the Secretary requested the Faculty Party Cell to promote collective strength, focusing on doing well the following 5 contents: Standardizing the staff; Maintaining and ensuring the quality of training programs; Strengthening domestic and international cooperation in training and scientific research; Promoting scientific research, especially international publishing; Keeping abreast of world development trends to integrate into the flow of global science and education.
The Congress elected the Party Cell for the 2020-2022 term, consisting of 3 comrades: Comrade Do Van Hung - Secretary, Comrade Tran Thi Thanh Van - Deputy Secretary and Comrade Tran Duc Hoa - Party Cell member.
On behalf of the Party Cell for the 2020-2022 term, comrade Do Van Hung thanked the Party Committee and Party members in the Party Cell for their trust and support, and called on all Party members, cadres and students in the unit to unite and join hands to successfully implement the Congress Resolution in the new term.
With the slogan:Digital Transformation - High Quality - Internationalization,The Congress agreed to set out the direction for the 2020-2022 term with the following key contents:
- Devote all resources to developing staff in both quantity and quality, ensuring human resources for sustainable development in the new period.
- Promote technology in training activities, moving towards all specialized subjects being implemented in the form of blended learning.
- Build and complete the learning materials system for the unit's new training programs, focusing on digital learning materials for easy sharing and use.
- Enhance research capacity for lecturers to be able to implement major research projects at home and abroad.
- Promote international publication.
- Promote school-enterprise cooperation to implement internships and practical training while creating output for learners.
- Strengthen international cooperation in high-quality research and training activities.
- Improve the lives of cadres and party members through professional activities, diversify training types, and actively implement topics and projects.
