A significant step forward on the integration journey.

Currently, the Party Branch of the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language has 15 members. Under the leadership of the Party Committee, the Faculty Board and the Union always focus on improving the quality of the Faculty's staff, the quality of scientific research, and especially the task of international cooperation. Fulfilling the mission of "training high-quality human resources, fostering a passion for research on the Vietnamese language and Vietnamese studies, and contributing to promoting exchanges and relations between Vietnam and countries around the world," in 2018, the Faculty was awarded the "Second Class Labor Medal" by the State for its exceptionally outstanding achievements in research and training in the Vietnamese language and Vietnamese studies over the past half-century.

An event honoring Japanese journalist Takano, a former student of the Faculty, was held at B7Bis Polytechnic.

One of the most important factors contributing to the Faculty's achievements in the integration process is improving the quality of its staff. In 2019, the Faculty had 4 lecturers who successfully defended their doctoral dissertations. Currently, the total number of faculty and staff in the Faculty is 30, including 22 lecturers (5 Associate Professors, 14 PhDs, and 3 doctoral candidates).

Continuing to strive in accordance with the direction of the University Party Committee, the Faculty Party Branch always develops action strategies oriented towards a research university. Annually, lecturers exceed their research hour quotas, publishing articles in specialized scientific journals and international publications. Many Party members have led and are currently leading research projects at the institutional, National University, and ministerial levels. To promote and enhance the research capacity of staff and lecturers, the Faculty Party Branch and Board of Directors always expand cooperation with training and research units both domestically and internationally to organize national and international conferences, as well as collaborating with prestigious journals in the field of Vietnamese studies to exchange expertise and academic knowledge. In 2018, on the occasion of its 50th anniversary, the Faculty successfully organized an international conference."Research and teaching of Vietnamese language and Vietnamese studies in universities. It attracted hundreds of domestic and international scholars to participate.

With a team of enthusiastic and experienced faculty members, the Faculty's Party Committee has continuously innovated its organizational, training, and enrollment activities for all programs. Each achievement of the Party Committee and the Faculty's Board of Directors clearly demonstrates the process of innovation and integration. Since 2010, the Faculty has been tasked with training Bachelor's degree students in Vietnamese Studies for both Vietnamese and international students. To date, the Faculty has graduated six cohorts of students. During the 2018-2020 term, the Party Committee implemented a strategy to improve the quality and quantity of enrollment. In the last three years, the Faculty has consistently exceeded its enrollment targets by approximately 120%, bringing the total number of undergraduate students currently enrolled to nearly 300 (including 47 international students). Despite having a relatively new program, the Faculty's entrance scores consistently rank among the top two in the university. To achieve these results, the Party Committee and the Faculty Board have always focused on innovating admission and training methods to attract undergraduate students to the Faculty. In 2019, the Faculty developed an undergraduate program in Vietnamese Studies (taught in English); and revised the standard undergraduate program in Vietnamese Studies to align with the learning outcomes and practical needs of society. To date, the Faculty has trained five cohorts of Master's graduates in Vietnamese Studies, and in the near future, the Faculty plans to seek permission from the University to develop a doctoral program in Vietnamese Studies.

Furthermore, the faculty's young staff and students are always proactive and creative in all activities to enhance exchange and learning between Vietnamese and international students. The CMC Club serves as a cultural bridge, giving international students the opportunity to interact and learn about Vietnam through the club's activities. Every year, the "International Cultural Festival" is also an activity that the Party Committee always pays attention to and prioritizes, aiming to promote and introduce the image of Vietnam and its people to international friends.

A new chapter begins with the motto "Unity - Creativity - Science - Development"

Throughout its development, the Party Committee, the Faculty leadership, and the entire faculty and staff have understood that the core value for creating collective strength is the spirit of unity. The Faculty Party Committee has placed unity at the top of its operational guidelines. Furthermore, in the new term, the Faculty Party Committee will continue to play a pivotal role in creating a creative and responsive academic environment that effectively adapts to the rapid changes of the Industry 4.0 era. The university lecture halls are the most effective places to access and utilize the achievements of the Industry 4.0 revolution. Therefore, the Faculty Party Committee will continue to foster a spirit of innovation to make timely and appropriate decisions so that faculty members and students can adapt.
