According to the report evaluating the Party branch's leadership in implementing the Party Branch Congress Resolution for the 2022-2025 term, presented by Comrade Nguyen Quang Lieu - Secretary of the Party Branch, the Party Branch of the High School of Social Sciences and Humanities currently has 10 Party members. As a newly established specialized high school, from a very limited number of staff at the time of establishment (10 staff members), the school has now doubled its staff. In addition to the permanent staff, the school receives significant support from a team of high-quality visiting lecturers from member units of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi and other universities.
Comrade Nguyen Quang Lieu - Secretary of the Party Branch - presented the Report evaluating the leadership work of the Party Branch in implementing the Resolution of the Party Branch Congress for the 2022-2025 term.
The report highlighted the achievements, limitations, and key lessons learned in various aspects of its operations: political and ideological work; Party building; organizational and personnel work; leadership in professional work; and leadership in social and charitable activities. The Party branch successfully completed its assigned tasks; effectively implemented the resolutions of the Party branch congress for the 2022-2025 term; and upheld its leadership and guidance role over the administration, departments, and mass organizations. It demonstrated strong unity and consensus in understanding and action, fostering a spirit of criticism and self-criticism within the Party branch; and offered frank and sincere contributions to the development of the Party branch. Party members consistently demonstrated exemplary conduct, actively and proactively overcoming difficulties to successfully complete their assigned tasks. Many comrades received commendations and certificates of merit from various levels.
Among the notable achievements are: The Party Committee has directed the school's staff and teachers to constantly strive and overcome difficulties to achieve high results in teaching and learning. The teaching staff consists of highly qualified, dynamic, and enthusiastic teachers and lecturers who use modern teaching methods; they continuously improve their capacity and educational quality, approaching the standards of advanced high schools in the region and around the world.
The training program has been updated to be modern, aligning with the general curriculum of the Ministry of Education and Training and the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, while also being suitable for the specific characteristics of social sciences and humanities, especially in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution strongly impacting Vietnam.
The Party branch has led and directed the specialized teams to focus on combining comprehensive training with in-depth training, and fostering expertise in their respective subjects. Based on the tasks and the number of classes, assignments are made appropriately according to the qualifications and abilities of each teacher.
Over the past five years, students of the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities have achieved several encouraging results: In the high school graduation exam, the school consistently ranked first in Hanoi in its strongest subjects. Students from the school have won numerous high awards in national excellent student competitions and the Hanoi National University High School Olympiad. Students from the first and second graduating classes have all been admitted to highly-ranked universities in Vietnam, the region, and the world.
The Congress identified key directions, tasks, and solutions for the 2025-2027 term. Accordingly, the Party Branch will strengthen political and moral education, develop new Party members; recruit more teachers and create conditions for developing the teaching staff; improve the quality of teaching and learning, promote the application of technology; strengthen international cooperation, organize scientific conferences; promote digital transformation, and build an electronic library.
Comrade Truong Thi Bich Hanh - Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch - presented the collective self-assessment report of the Party Committee and the summary report of opinions on the draft documents submitted to the Congress and the documents of the Party Congress of the University for the 2025-2030 term.
Delegates attending the congress presented papers on improving the quality of political and ideological education and enhancing professional skills within the Party branch.
The Congress elected the Party Committee of the Specialized High School for the term 2025-2027, consisting of 3 members: Comrade Nguyen Quang Lieu as Secretary of the Party Committee; Comrade Truong Thi Bich Hanh as Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; and Comrade Tran Thanh Viet as a member of the Party Committee.
The Congress elected 05 official delegates and 01 alternate delegate to attend the 29th Congress of the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, term 2025-2030.
The Party Committee of the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities for the term 2025-2027 was introduced at the congress.
Comrade Hoang Anh Tuan - Secretary of the Party Committee and Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - delivered a speech at the Congress.
Comrade Hoang Anh Tuan, Secretary of the Party Committee and Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, highly appreciated the achievements of the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities during the past term, with the identification of five key tasks linked to specific activities. The Party Committee Secretary emphasized that the school should continue to improve the quality of training, implement the accreditation of training programs according to the set plan, and build upon the achievements to affirm the identity of the High School for Gifted Students in the context of fierce competition in higher education. “The atmosphere of unity and consensus is the key to the success of the Party Branch in implementing the plans and targets set,” Comrade Hoang Anh Tuan shared.
With the high sense of responsibility of the collective of cadres and Party members in the Party Branch, the Congress is confident that, in the 2025-2027 term, the Party Branch of the Specialized High School will excellently fulfill the tasks presented to the Congress, contributing to the sustainable development of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
