At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh briefly introduced the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, a training institution with a rich tradition and a team of highly qualified and professional lecturers. The school has established cooperative relationships with more than 400 domestic and foreign partners; has diverse training programs at many levels from regular bachelor's, master's, doctoral to short-term training courses.
On the side of the Open University, Dr. Truong Tien Tung said that every year the Open University has a rich and diverse source of students with different ages and different learning needs. He proposed that the Open University and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities sign a memorandum of cooperation. The Open University can use its strength in applying information technology to implement joint training programs between the two universities.
After the discussion, representatives of the departments of both sides discussed in detail the plans for building cooperation program frameworks between the two schools.
Established in 1993, Hanoi Open University is a public university with many levels, many majors, many fields, with high autonomy and self-responsibility in the Vietnamese education system. The Institute has trained about 50,000 students. The Institute has 12 training faculties: Faculty of Economics; Faculty of English; Faculty of Chinese; Faculty of Tourism; Faculty of Information Technology; Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology, Faculty of Finance and Banking, Faculty of Biotechnology; Faculty of Architecture; Faculty of Industrial Design; Faculty of Law; Faculty of Distance Education.
