Implementing the guidance of VNU and the guidance of the Standing Office of the Party Committee of the School on giving comments on documents of congresses at all levels, on the morning of April 1, 2015, the School's Trade Union held a conference to give comments on documents of congresses at all levels.

On April 10, 2014, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Quanh Minh (Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) welcomed and worked with a delegation of the Swedish Council for Higher Education led by Ms. Anna Lindeberg - Council Program Officer. On March 27, 2014, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim - Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities received and worked with Professor Lenore Gallin - Department of Anthropology, Diablo Valley Community College (USA). Attending the reception were Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Vice Head of the Department of History, Dr. Nguyen Van Suu - Vice Head of the Department of Anthropology and MSc. Tran Diep Thanh - Deputy Head of the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Training Cooperation.

In the 2012-2013 school year, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has achieved comprehensive results in many aspects of its activities. Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Kim (Vice Rector of the University) summarized the outstanding achievements and announced the important orientations of the University in the coming school year.

From a Journalism student who loved making films, up to now, Ha Thai (real name is Bui Thi Ha, former student of K53, Faculty of Journalism and Communication - University of Social Sciences and Humanities) has won two awards at the Golden Lotus Film Festival 2011 and the Silver Kite Award for short films 2012.

USSH introduced 05 projects using students as research subjects and received the Award from the Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

2013 marks the return of one of the biggest sporting events of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities: the 6th Men’s Student Football Tournament called USSH Champions League 2013 (UCL2013). After many years of absence, this tournament is held with unprecedented scale and quality, promising to ignite the “Human Spirit” in the coming summer days.

The workshop is an activity under Project TN3/X07 “Social development issues and social development management in the Central Highlands” chaired by Associate Professor Dr. Pham Ngoc Thanh, taking place on April 12, 2013. There are 22 reports from experts and scientists in many fields: policy science, management science, development science, culture, ethnology, sociology, etc.

In early April, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh (Rector) had a working trip to Japan at the official invitation of Prof. Yojiro Ishii, Rector of the Graduate School of Comprehensive Cultural Studies, University of Tokyo.
