Professor Tran Van Giau studied in France from 1928 and joined the French Communist Party in May 1929. From 1931-1932, he studied at the Moscow Oriental University and then returned to Vietnam to participate in revolutionary activities in the Southern Regional Committee.

The second international conference “Vietnam Studies: Interdisciplinary research approaches in the context of globalization” was jointly organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Monash University (Australia) in two days from November 30 to December 1, 2010.
