On the morning of February 27, 2013, Minister of Education and Training Pham Vu Luan and his delegation visited and worked at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU).

On February 26, 2013, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Principal of the University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim - Vice Principal of the University and representatives of the Faculty of History, Department of Foreign Affairs and International Training Cooperation had a meeting and worked with Prof. Shiraishi Masaya - Faculty of Asia Pacific Studies, Waseda University, Japan.

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities has had a successful year in many aspects of its activities and is currently taking the first steps in its integration with the world. On the occasion of the beginning of spring, the University's veteran teachers shared their feelings and thoughts on the development of the University in recent times, and at the same time gave suggestions for the upcoming development and integration journey.

The Ambassador will introduce the beautiful country of New Zealand. The Ambassador will present the bilateral relationship between Vietnam and New Zealand, including areas of strength and growth such as Trade and Education, as well as opportunities for studying in New Zealand. There will be plenty of time for questions and answers at the end of the talk. This is a great opportunity to learn more about New Zealand and the Ambassador of New Zealand to Vietnam.

On February 22, a delegation from Naresuan University (Thailand) visited and worked at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The delegation was led by Professor Krasae Chanawongse (Chairman of the University Council) and Professor Sujin Jinahyon (Rector). Receiving the delegation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities were Vice-Rectors Professor Dr. Vu Duc Nghieu, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Quang Minh, and representatives of the Faculty of Oriental Studies and several departments.

With her active contributions to promoting French literature in Vietnam, Associate Professor Dang Thi Hanh (former lecturer of the Faculty of Literature - Hanoi University of Science, now the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU) was honored to receive the Order of Academic Palms of the French Republic. The ceremony took place on February 21, 2013 at the French Cultural Center, Hanoi.

Associate Professor Dr. Jörg Menzel (University of Bonn - Federal Republic of Germany) presented the topic "The Constitutional Reform Process in Vietnam - International Experiences on Legislative Powers".

This morning, February 21, 2013, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh (Principal) received comrade Kim Chang Il - Ambassador of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to Vietnam - who visited and worked at the School.

The quality accreditation certificate (cycle II) for the University of Social Sciences and Humanities was issued by the President of VNU on December 28, 2012, based on the proposal of the VNU Quality Accreditation Council. According to the accreditation results of the Council, the University met the national quality standards with a rate of 98.3% (60/61 criteria met). According to regulations, to meet this standard, the basic units need to have 80% of the criteria met.

On February 14, 2013 (the 5th day of the Lunar New Year), Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Principal of the School - visited and wished a happy new year to a number of staff and lecturers of the School in Hanoi.

On the morning of February 13, 2013, the 4th day of the Lunar New Year, the staff, lecturers and students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities – VNU respectfully held an incense offering ceremony at the Temple of Literature – Quoc Tu Giam. On the occasion of the New Year 2013 and the Year of the Snake, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities organized a meeting with generations of retired teachers and staff on January 29, 2013.

To improve the quality of training and connect training with social needs, on the morning of January 26, 2013, the Faculty of Linguistics organized a meeting between students and lecturers of the Faculty with alumni and employers.
