During her visit and work in Vietnam, Ms. Janece Charette (Cabinet Secretary and Deputy Minister in charge of Intergovernmental Affairs of Canada) visited and talked with lecturers and students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities on November 23, 2012.

To implement the 2012-2013 school year plan and to enhance consulting and training support activities for students as well as promote connectivity and coordination between functional departments and mass organizations in this work, the School organized the 2012 Consulting and Training Support Day.

The 2012 Training Support and Advisory Day will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2012 with the theme "Differentiate and Act". This theme is the core value of the training support and advisory activities carried out in the school during the 2012-2013 school year.

The international scientific conference with the theme “Inequality in development: Problems and solutions of East Asian and Southeast Asian countries” was organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in collaboration with Stockholm University (Sweden) for three days from November 22 to 24, 2012.

On November 22, 2012, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Principal of the School - had a meeting and worked with a delegation of officials from the Academy of Commerce of Yunnan University (China) led by Vice President Ha Phuc Toan.

On November 21, 2012, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held the opening ceremony of the 2+2 international joint training programs for the 2012-2013 academic year.

On November 19, 2012, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2012).

On the morning of November 17, 2012, the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language organized a meeting of generations of teachers.

On November 17, 2012, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in cooperation with the AMA International English Academy organized the first test in the English proficiency assessment test. 421 students from 4 high-quality training programs and the Faculty of Tourism Studies spent 120 minutes taking the test. The test was in the standard TOEIC format of IIG Vietnam.

The 2012 Singing Contest for staff and students with the theme "Singing about the border, sea and islands of the homeland" organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities took place with great success on November 17, 2012 at the Me Tri Dormitory Cultural House.

The 40th anniversary of Han Nom Department, Faculty of Literature, University of Social Sciences and Humanities was solemnly held on November 17, 2012.

The 4th International Scientific Conference on the International Forum for Development of the Red River Basin with the theme “Economic and cultural cooperation, environmental protection and sustainable tourism development in the Red River Basin” was organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Tourism of Lao Cai province and the Honghe Academy (China) on November 9 and 10, 2012 in Lao Cai province.

On November 16, 2012, the Faculty of Management Science solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Faculty's founding (2002-2012).
