The scientific conference "Forty Years of Training and Research in Sino-Vietnamese Studies" was organized by the Faculty of Literature, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, on November 16, 2012.

USSH – This year, 2012, the Department of Sino-Vietnamese Studies (Faculty of Literature - University of Social Sciences and Humanities) celebrates its 40th anniversary. To mark this special occasion, we would like to present an article by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Khoai – Head of the Sino-Vietnamese Studies Department – ​​to provide readers with information about a unique training program at the University.

The Organizing Committee of the Singing Contest announces the order of rehearsals and performances of the participating units in the 2012 Faculty and Student Singing Contest.

In accordance with Official Letter No. 3793/ĐHQGHN-CTHSSV from the Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi regarding the awarding of the title "Outstanding Young Face of Vietnam National University, Hanoi" in 2012; in order to summarize the emulation movement in learning, working, scientific research, and moral training of students, graduate students, doctoral candidates, and young staff; and to prepare for the consideration and recognition of the title "Outstanding Young Face at the University Level - 2012", the University's Board of Directors requests the Heads of units to conduct the evaluation according to the following standards and implementation schedule:

English proficiency assessments are conducted on a departmental basis, and participation is mandatory for students in the 2009, 2010, and 2011 cohorts. Students will take an exam covering three skills: reading comprehension, writing, and listening. The exam duration is 120 minutes, with the listening section lasting 45 minutes.

An international scientific conference on the theme "Sharing International Experiences in Social Work and Social Security" was jointly organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, the Vietnam Vocational Training Association, and various domestic and international social organizations and agencies: UNICEF, the Vietnam Association for the Assistance of People with Disabilities, the Canadian International Development Agency through Memorial University, etc., and took place on November 9th and 10th, 2012.

On November 9th and 10th, 2012, the Center for Foreign Languages ​​and Training Cooperation, in collaboration with the Cambridge English Examination Board (Cambridge ESOL), organized a workshop on "English Language Training according to the European Framework of Reference".

In order to consolidate and unify the organizational structure and operating methods of the affiliated branches of the Youth Union and Student Association, on the morning of November 4, 2012, the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language held the inauguration ceremony for the Faculty's first Inter-branch Youth Union and Inter-branch Student Association.
