University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU Hanoi

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) has received notification from the British Embassy regarding the Chevening Scholarship program of the British Government for the 2024/2025 academic year. Details are as follows:

On October 10, 2023, a delegation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) visited and held discussions on cooperation directions with the National Geriatric Hospital.

On October 9, 2023, Professor A. Saj U. Mendis, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Vietnam, gave a highly successful scientific presentation at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) on the topic: The Economic Rise and Success of Vietnam in the Renovation Period: Causes, Foreign Policy & Prospects.

Ten female lecturers and researchers will be selected to participate in a two-day exchange and experience-sharing program on scientific publications in peer-reviewed international journals.

On October 6th, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU – USSH) held a working session with the Embassy of Ireland in Vietnam within the framework of educational cooperation and organized a seminar on "The Transformation of the Irish Economy".

This was one of the topics discussed during the meeting between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi, and the delegation from the People's Committee of Xin Man District, Ha Giang Province, on the morning of October 6, 2023.

On October 3rd, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) held a meeting and signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation with the Thang Long Institute of Medical Research in training and research on Hospital Social Work.

On September 27th, representatives from the Chinese Embassy held a working session at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, with the aim of enhancing and strengthening cooperation and exchange between Chinese and Vietnamese educational and academic institutions, including the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, in anticipation of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China.

With three volumes and over forty articles, the book series portrays the veteran, unsung heroes who have contributed to shaping the face of revolutionary journalism in Vietnam.

From September 11th to 17th, 2023, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong, Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), led a delegation, along with Dr. Pham Hoang Hung, Head of the Cooperation and Development Department; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trinh Cam Lan, Head of the Linguistics Department; and Dr. Vu Minh Hai, lecturer in the Linguistics Department, to visit and work with numerous academies and universities in China, and also attended the China-ASEAN Vocational Education Exhibition and Forum 2023 held in Guangxi (China).

The Student Orientation Week of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU-USSH, held from September 7th to 17th, 2023, brought many new and exciting emotions to 2,018 new students of the K68 cohort as they welcomed the new academic year at VNU-USSH.

On September 14, 2023, a delegation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong, Vice Rector, along with Dr. Pham Hoang Hung, Head of the Cooperation and Development Department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trinh Cam Lan, Head of the Linguistics Department, and Dr. Vu Minh Hai, lecturer in the Linguistics Department, visited Guangxi University (China) to discuss opportunities and plans for cooperation between the two universities.

Within the framework of participating in working delegations of Hanoi National University and the Ministry of Education and Training in Europe, the leaders of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities have promoted cooperation programs with several French partners in the near future.
