This is the content of the discussions and cooperation agreements between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) and the Center for Sustainable Development Studies (CSDS) on September 21, 2023.

From September 11th to 17th, 2023, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong, Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), led a delegation, along with Dr. Pham Hoang Hung, Head of the Cooperation and Development Department; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trinh Cam Lan, Head of the Linguistics Department; and Dr. Vu Minh Hai, lecturer in the Linguistics Department, to visit and work with numerous academies and universities in China, and also attended the China-ASEAN Vocational Education Exhibition and Forum 2023 held in Guangxi (China).

The Student Orientation Week of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU-USSH, held from September 7th to 17th, 2023, brought many new and exciting emotions to 2,018 new students of the K68 cohort as they welcomed the new academic year at VNU-USSH.

On September 14, 2023, a delegation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong, Vice Rector, along with Dr. Pham Hoang Hung, Head of the Cooperation and Development Department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trinh Cam Lan, Head of the Linguistics Department, and Dr. Vu Minh Hai, lecturer in the Linguistics Department, visited Guangxi University (China) to discuss opportunities and plans for cooperation between the two universities.

Within the framework of participating in working delegations of Hanoi National University and the Ministry of Education and Training in Europe, the leaders of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities have promoted cooperation programs with several French partners in the near future.

On September 7th, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU – USSH) held a meeting with Assoc. Prof. Tang Khiem - Vice President of the Institute of International Language and Culture, Yunnan University of Finance and Economics, and Ms. Luu Giai - Lecturer at the Institute of International Language and Culture, Yunnan University of Finance and Economics, regarding the plan to exchange 29 students from China to study at VNU – USSH.

(SVVN) In 2019, Phuong Thanh was the top-scoring student in the D01 entrance exam at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH). After four years of hard work, Phuong Thanh graduated as valedictorian in Psychology with an excellent academic record of 3.69/4.0.

Vietnamese history has always acknowledged the contributions of Buddhism to the nation. For over two thousand years of existence in Vietnam, enduring the ups and downs of history, Vietnamese Buddhism has integrated into social life, blending seamlessly with the lives, activities, culture, and beliefs of the people, becoming a religion deeply intertwined with and accompanying the Vietnamese nation. In the history of Vietnamese Buddhism, it is impossible not to mention Kinh Bac Buddhism – considered the cradle of Vietnamese Buddhism.

On August 7, 2023, Professor Hoang Anh Tuan (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, VNU-USSH) chaired the August University-wide meeting. The meeting was attended by the Vice Rectors, Secretaries of Party branches, Heads of affiliated units, and leaders of student organizations.

On August 5th and 6th, 2023, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) solemnly held its graduation ceremony for nearly 1,600 new graduates from 27 regular full-time programs and 40 new graduates from second-year full-time programs.
