On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the reunification of the country, on the morning of May 14, 2025, the Faculty of Literature – University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, organized a seminar on Nguyen Duy's poetry: "Searching for Relatives".

On the morning of May 12th, the national scientific conference "President Ho Chi Minh and Education, Education and President Ho Chi Minh" was held at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department Nguyen Trong Nghia and Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son attended and chaired the conference.

Education is a mass undertaking and requires the full promotion of socialist democracy. This is an area that President Ho Chi Minh paid special attention to.

To commemorate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025), the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department and the Ministry of Education and Training, in coordination with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, are organizing an exhibition of images and documents with the theme "Uncle Ho with education, education with Uncle Ho".

Friday, May 9, 2025 – The University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU Hanoi) successfully organized a thematic talk on the topic: "Collaborative Research between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU Hanoi) and the Australian National University on the Pre-Neolithic and Neolithic Periods in Vietnam (2015-2025)". This was an opportunity for faculty, students, and trainees of the University to meet and exchange expertise with Professor Peter Stafford Bellwood, Professor Emeritus at the Australian National University (ANU), one of the world's leading scholars on human prehistory in the Asia-Pacific region.

This was the topic discussed at the Korean Studies Forum in Hanoi, themed "The New Future of Korean Science and Technology in Vietnam," held this morning, May 9, 2025, at Lotte Center Hanoi.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and the reunification of the country, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities organized a seminar to introduce the book: "Perspectives from History: Perfecting Vietnamese Values ​​in the New Era" by Lieutenant General, Doctor Nguyen Van Huong - former Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, former Deputy Minister of Public Security. The editorial board is pleased to present an article by Professor, Doctor, People's Teacher Nguyen Quang Ngoc - former Head of the History Department, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, to share with readers the profound values ​​of this publication.

On the afternoon of April 29, 2025, archaeologists from the Faculty of History, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, in collaboration with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An province, the Nghe An Museum, and the Australian National University, held a preliminary report on the results of the archaeological excavation at the Quynh Van site.

On May 5, 2025, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) solemnly organized the Conference of Outstanding Exemplars to summarize and evaluate the results of the patriotic emulation movement from 2020 to 2025, and to determine the direction and tasks to promote the emulation movement and improve the effectiveness of the awarding of commendations in the period 2025 – 2030.

Following the success of the 2024 collaboration event, this year, on April 24, 2025, the Hungarian Embassy, ​​Hungary Corner, and the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities (HS&H) jointly organized the Award Ceremony for the competition to adapt the novel "The Stars of Eger" into a comic book specifically for students of the school, aiming to connect Hungarian culture and history with Vietnam and spread knowledge through innovative creative methods.

On April 26-27, 2025, the Faculty of Information and Library Science, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, successfully implemented the "UP 2025" Volunteer Library Project at Nam Phong Primary and Secondary School, Nam Phong Commune, Cao Phong District, Hoa Binh Province. 2025 marks a special milestone: the 10th anniversary of the "UP" charitable journey, persistently spreading knowledge and igniting hope for children in mountainous regions across the country. Fifteen years – a proud journey of hearts steadfast in their mission to "send love, share knowledge".

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and the reunification of the country (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) Electronic Information Portal is pleased to present an article by Professor, Doctor of Science, People's Teacher Vu Minh Giang, recounting the contributions of the staff and students of Hanoi University - the predecessor of VNU - in the arduous but also glorious and proud resistance war.

On April 25, 2025, in the solemn and warm atmosphere of the Auditorium on the 8th floor of Building E, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) held a graduation ceremony and awarded diplomas to over 400 new graduates. This was the first graduation ceremony organized by the University in 2025.
