Strengthening cooperation in training and scientific research with universities in southern China.

Attending the Southeast Asian Language Training Cooperation Forum organized by Haikou University of Economics, Vice President Hoang Anh Tuan emphasized the importance of promoting Vietnamese language training at universities in Hainan Province. Besides geographical proximity, close historical trade relations, and cultural and linguistic similarities, Hainan Province is currently receiving significant investment from the Chinese government to promote educational and scientific cooperation with ASEAN countries.

During the working visit, Vice Rector Hoang Anh Tuan also discussed and agreed with Hainan University (HAINU) on key areas of cooperation in the coming period, including: supporting HAINU in developing a Vietnamese language training program from the end of 2018; strengthening support for students from both universities to study and intern abroad; sending staff from the University to teach Vietnamese and Vietnamese studies topics at HAINU; developing joint research programs between staff from both universities, aiming to co-organize international conferences, and carrying out joint publishing activities…

During the working trip, Vice Rector Hoang Anh Tuan also visited and discussed potential cooperation with Sun Yat-sen University (Guangzhou) and attended the international scientific conference "China-Vietnam Relations: History, Current Situation and Prospects". The conference was an important scientific forum, bringing together nearly 80 scientific reports and over 100 delegates, including 9 faculty members from the University who participated and presented papers.
