This year, 844 students participated in scientific research with 631 scientific reports from faculties and departments in the School.
Scientific research activities among students have been a beautiful tradition of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities for many years. The student scientific research movement is one of the important activities to realize the training and scientific research goals of the University, thereby helping students form scientific thinking and working methods, independent research ability, and implementing the motto "learning goes hand in hand with practice". This activity contributes to improving the quality of training activities, especially in the context of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities developing in the direction of a research university, taking research as the core activity to improve the quality and effectiveness of other activities.

Speaking at the Conference, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim (Party Secretary, Vice Principal of the School) highly appreciated the research projects of students this year: “In addition to theoretical issues, the topics have closely followed many practical issues of life, current events, and society. I am also very happy to see that students have increasingly invested more effort and enthusiasm in their research projects”.
At the end of the Conference, the most outstanding research projects and the faculties and departments with good achievements in scientific research activities were awarded. Specifically:

The “Green Torch” Award was first awarded in the 2009-2010 school year, with the predecessor name being the “Youth Union Award”. From the 2014-2015 school year, the award was officially named “Green Torch Pearl”, with the metaphor of adding vitality to the youth to further enhance the reputation of the school’s scientific research activities. The image of the torch symbolizes enthusiasm and passion, the color green symbolizes youth and strong vitality.
