On April 25, 2023, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU held a Quality Assurance Conference for the 2022-2023 academic year.
The conference was attended by Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong - Vice Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU; Dr. Pham Huy Cuong - Director of the Center for Education Quality Assurance, leaders of departments/faculties/institutes/centers/departments under the school.
On behalf of the Institute of Quality Assurance, Hanoi National University, there was the participation of Dr. Bui Vu Anh - Deputy Director.
The conference aims to evaluate the results of the School's quality assurance work in 2022, propose plans and solutions to improve the quality of educational facilities and training programs in 2023 and beyond.
Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong - Vice Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities chaired and gave many directions to create the Conference.
Summing up the work of Quality Assurance in the 2022-2023 school year and the plan for the 2023-2024 school year of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Dr. Pham Huy Cuong - Director of the Center for Education Quality Assurance, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, in 2022, the school's quality assurance work was completed and exceeded the set plan targets. In addition, based on the practical situation, the school has made adjustments to the plan to strengthen self-assessment and quality inspection of training programs. The school has completed self-assessment of 12 training programs (11 training programs according to the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training, 01 training program according to AUN standards), organized external assessment of 07 training programs according to the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training in 2022 (Journalism, Public Relations, Management Science, Religious Studies, Hotel Management, Office Management).
The school continues to evaluate the quality of educational institutions and training programs through surveys of stakeholders: (1) Collecting learners' opinions on courses (Semester I: 786 courses/45,950 students), (2) Self-assessment by lecturers: 865 lecturers, (3) Collecting learners' opinions on the quality of learner support activities: 2,034 learners, (4) Collecting employers' opinions on the training quality of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities: 272 units; coordinating with units to complete the survey of graduate information (852 graduates) and reporting "3 public".

The Institute of Education Quality Assurance of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has organized activities such as: Conference on quality assurance for the 2022-2023 academic year; training for staff participating in self-assessment activities and writing self-assessment reports of training programs according to AUN-QA standards (International Studies, Psychology, Sociology) and standards of the Ministry of Education and Training (Administration of Educational Quality Assurance and Training, Information Management, Information - Library); coordinating to organize a training course for educational quality assurance assessors (expected to organize a class for 30 key staff in the school in June 2023). Issued 02 documents contributing to the continued completion of the school's internal quality assurance system: Statement of Quality Assurance Policy and Regulations on Quality Assurance Work at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
Speaking at the Conference, Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong - Vice Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities highly appreciated the activities of ensuring educational quality, especially the quality assessment of training programs of the whole school in the past school year. Departments/faculties/institutes/centers and lecturers have made great efforts to complete the quality assessment of training programs, in order to bring learners the best values during their study at the school.
The conference received many opinions and experiences from leaders of departments, faculties/institutes to improve the quality assessment of training programs. Accordingly, the criteria suitable for assessment are still implemented daily in the training and scientific research activities of the units. However, due to the lack of standard document storage, the process of preparing documents for assessment activities still takes a lot of time. From there, Dr. Vu Huong Lan - Deputy Head of the Faculty of Tourism proposed the initiative to digitize training data so that the next assessment activities can be implemented smoothly.

At the Conference, Dr. Bui Vu Anh - Deputy Director of the Institute of Quality Assurance, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, deployed training activities on building output standards and course outlines that meet the conditions of quality assurance, accreditation and current regulations to leaders of units and lecturers of the school.
Dr. Bui Vu Anh - Deputy Director of Institute of Quality Assurance, Vietnam National University, Hanoi The conference determined the key tasks of the school's educational quality assurance activities for the 2023-2024 school year as continuing to develop and improve the internal quality assurance system; maintaining and promoting activities to improve the quality of educational institutions and training programs; successfully completing the proposed self-assessment and accreditation plan for training programs; implementing training activities, fostering the team in charge, leading and implementing quality assurance work; continuing to deploy and coordinate the implementation of activities to collect opinions from relevant parties and at the same time have a plan to adjust and improve the school's quality assurance information system.
In particular, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will complete self-assessment and external assessment of 09 training programs (03 according to AUN standards, 06 according to the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training). 100% of the courses will receive feedback from learners, 100% of lecturers will participate in self-assessment activities. In addition, the assessment will include comments on support activities from learners, and information provided by employers. In addition, training and coaching activities will be organized to improve the capacity of the DBQC network, gradually developing a team of experts in quality assurance and quality control.
