K44 Oriental Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU: Going to return

Boundless happiness mixed with emotions that are hard to describe in words... that was the feeling of the former students of K44 Oriental Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU when participating in the 20th Graduation Anniversary Ceremony (2003 - 2023) with the theme "Going to return", which took place on April 22.
Firm handshakes, warm hugs, bright smiles on the lips... Exactly 20 years since graduation, today many of them have the opportunity to meet each other again. The 20th graduation anniversary of the K44 Oriental Studies group was honored to have the participation of Dr. Le Thi Thu Giang - Head of the Faculty of Oriental Studies; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tuong Lai, Former Deputy Head of the Faculty of Oriental Studies; Former Deputy Head of the Department of Southeast Asian Studies; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suthat Vongkrabak Thavorn, TICA volunteer lecturer, teaching Thai for K44 Southeast Asian Studies; Dr. Le Dang Hoan, former visiting lecturer of Korean Studies; Lecturer Tran Nhu Bong, former lecturer of Chinese Studies; Ms. Bui Hong Anh, English lecturer of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, teaching English for the Department of Southeast Asian Studies, and more than 50 alumni of K44 Oriental Studies.
Touched by the students' feelings, before the ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Tuong Lai, Former Deputy Head of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Former Deputy Head of the Department of Southeast Asian Studies, shared: "Until now, even though it was more than 20 years ago, I still have many memories and remember a lot... Going to return - that is, you flew away for 20 years and now you fly back to your home."

For every K44 alumni Orientalism,20 years – a long journey with many changes has passed, each of them has grown up, but those youthful years are still full in their chests. Youth, is not only time but also emotions…
This is the opportunity for K44 Oriental Studies to return and gather at the "common roof", reliving the unforgettable memories of the most beautiful years of youth at the University.

“It feels like I'm in a time machine, going back to the past, back to my student days, I'm really looking forward to that moment” – CSV Luu Huyen Trang – K44 Japanese Studies shared.
“... We met for a month to discuss and plan a wonderful anniversary. And it was great to have your full support. Looking at the red and white images flooding our newsfeed, we felt very touched and felt more clearly that even when we grow old, we will still remember each other, love each other like the brilliant 18-20 years old, right guys?” - CSV Nguyen Hai Van - K44 Chinese Studies shared.

The 20th graduation anniversary of K44 Oriental Studies has ended with memories, with sweet memories of a time gone by. These will be moments that every former student of K44 Oriental Studies will never forget.
