10. Summary of project results:

This project conducts a comprehensive study of factors influencing the effectiveness of digital resource utilization by students at the Trade University of Vietnam (TMU), based on an integrated model combining Wilson's information behavior theory and the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). Based on the analysis and evaluation of the current situation, the results show that TMU students frequently access digital resources at the library and at home, with significantly higher usage time at home due to the convenience and flexibility of their personal access environment. The library's digital resource collection is considered rich, including internally generated materials, textbooks, reference books, course outlines, theses, dissertations, scientific proceedings, and many important international databases such as ProQuest, Springer, and Statista. These are all valuable resources that effectively meet the learning and research needs of students.

The results of processing and validating survey data through measurement and modeling steps (Cronbach's Alpha, EFA, CFA, SEM) show that the factors in the Wilson model, including information needs, motivation for information seeking, support conditions, and digital skills, all significantly impact students' perceived ease of use of the digital resource system. Among these, motivation for information seeking is the strongest influencing factor, reflecting that students with high learning motivation are generally more willing to access and familiarize themselves with digital resources. Simultaneously, the study determined that support conditions from the library and the ease of use of the system both positively impact students' perceived usefulness.

However, a notable finding is that neither perceived usefulness nor perceived ease of use had a statistically significant effect on the intention to use digital resources, a result different from the traditional TAM model. This suggests that students' behavior in accessing digital resources in the Vietnamese context may be strongly influenced by external factors such as course requirements, instructor guidance, or the specifics of the training model. Nevertheless, the intention to use still showed a positive impact on actual utilization efficiency, as evidenced by the frequency of digital resource use and its applicability to learning.

Based on the above results, the project proposes several solutions to improve the effectiveness of students' use of digital resources, including policy solutions, financial solutions, software upgrades, database development, improved technological infrastructure, and enhanced digital skills training for learners.

11. Practical applications:

This project has high applicability in the practical operations of the TMU Library as well as other higher education institutions developing digital document systems. The research results help the library and the university clearly identify factors affecting students' awareness and behavior in using digital resources, thereby adjusting policies to enhance user support, expand access rights, and improve digital resource management processes. The proposed solutions also provide a scientific basis for building a long-term digital library development strategy, especially in areas with significant impact such as upgrading management software, optimizing search tools, improving access speed, and expanding internally generated resources.

The research also provides significant practical value in designing and implementing digital skills training programs for students. Survey results show that digital skills and supporting conditions play a key role in enhancing the ability to utilize digital resources. Therefore, libraries can organize intensive training courses, develop instructional video systems, or provide online counseling services to help students improve their ability to use academic databases. Applying these solutions will not only contribute to improving the efficiency of digital resource utilization but also help develop self-learning abilities, research thinking, and proactive learning habits in a digitized environment.

Beyond the scope of TMU, the project's analytical model and solution system can be referenced and replicated at other universities undergoing digital transformation of their libraries. Empirical evidence shows that the integrated Wilson-TAM model is a useful tool for analyzing students' behavior in accessing digital resources within the context of Vietnamese higher education. Therefore, the project not only has internal application value but also makes a practical contribution to policy planning and the development of digital library systems in other educational institutions.

10. Summary of the findings of the project:

The project conducts a comprehensive investigation into the factors influencing students' effective utilization of digital resources at Thuong Mai University (TMU). The study is grounded in an integrated framework combining Wilson's Information Behavior Theory and the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM).
Based on the analysis of empirical data, the findings indicate that TMU students frequently access digital resources both at the library and at home, with home usage being considerably higher due to the convenience and flexibility of personal access. The library's digital collection is diverse, including institutional publications, textbooks, reference materials, course syllabi, theses, dissertations, conference proceedings, and major international databases such as ProQuest, Springer, and Statista. These resources are valuable and well aligned with students' academic and research needs.

Results from the survey data analysis using reliability and structural modeling techniques (Cronbach's Alpha, EFA, CFA, SEM) demonstrate that the Wilson model variables—including information needs, information-seeking motivation, support conditions, and digital skills—significantly affect students' perceived ease of use of the digital resource system. Among them, information-seeking motivation is the strongest determinant, suggesting that students with higher academic motivation are more willing to engage with and adapt to digital resources. Furthermore, support conditions and system usability both positively influence perceived usefulness.

Notably, neither perceived usefulness nor perceived ease of use shows a significant significant effect on the intention to use digital resources, which contrasts with traditional TAM assumptions. This implies that digital resource utilization among Vietnamese students may be dominated by external academic requirements such as course instructions, tutor guidance, or training model characteristics. Nevertheless, the intention to use positively influences actual utilization, reflected in usage frequency and the ability to apply digital resources in academic study.

11. Practical applicability:

The project provides high practical applicability for the operational activities of the TMU Library and other higher education institutions developing digital resource systems. The findings assist libraries and academic institutions in identifying key factors shaping students' awareness and behavior in the use of digital resources, thereby informing policy adjustments that enhance user support, broaden access privileges, and optimize digital resource management processes.

The research also brings important practical value in designing and implementing digital skills training programs for students. The survey results show that digital skills and support conditions play a key role in improving the ability to exploit digital documents, so libraries can organize specialized training courses, build a video tutorial system or provide online consulting services to help students improve their ability to use academic databases. Applying these solutions not only contributes to improving the efficiency of exploiting digital documents but also helps develop self-study capacity, research thinking and proactive learning habits in a digital environment.

Beyond the scope of TMU, the project's analytical model and solution system can be referenced and replicated at other universities that are in the process of digital library transformation. Empirical evidence shows that the integrated Wilson - TAM model is a useful tool for analyzing students' access behavior to digital resources in the context of Vietnamese higher education. Thanks to that, the project not only has internal application planning value but also makes practical contributions to policy and digital library system development in other training institutions.
