10. Summary of the thesis results:

- Narrative studies have evolved from classical models to new directions linked to contemporary socio-cultural life. In Vietnam, it has become an effective tool for deciphering reality and the tensions in people's lives. Against this backdrop, Pham Quang Long's works demonstrate a unique narrative style, rich in experience and focused on preserving traditional values amidst new changes.

Contemporary life in Pham Quang Long's novels is diverse and complex, transformed by him into poignant material about humanity and social upheavals. Amidst shifts from the individual to the community, from village to city, the "core" remains human compassion – a value that must be upheld to resist alienation and heal the wounds inflicted by modern life. With keen observation and a clear-headed attitude, he doesn't judge but gently reveals reality, thereby suggesting a new discipline of life: adaptation is necessary for survival, but all adaptation must be based on morality.

- Pham Quang Long's narrative art regarding contemporary life is shaped by a non-linear, fragmented plot structure that is naturally connected through layers of flashbacks, causing the present and past to constantly clash. Although he rarely uses dramatic climaxes, he still creates very ordinary "pain points," combining polyphonic language and flexible forms of dialogue and monologue to provoke conflict and highlight the clash of values in life.

11. Practical applications:This study focuses on the narrative aspects of contemporary life in Pham Quang Long's works, examining typical elements such as plot, narrative situations, language, tone, and characters. This not only clarifies the art of narrative but also reveals the creativity and innovation in poetic techniques applied to contemporary Vietnamese novels.

12. Future research directions:Potential areas for exploration include cultural and ethical discourse in contemporary narrative; cognitive and memory structures within non-linear plot organization; social conflict and identity through (space-time) shifts, etc.

13. Published works related to the thesis:Are not.

- Narratology has developed from classical models to newer approaches closely connected to contemporary socio-cultural life. In Vietnam, it has become an effective tool for deciphering reality and the worries in human life. On that basis, Pham Quang Long's writing demonstrates a distinctive narrative style, rich in lived experience and attentive to preserving traditional values amid new changes.

- Contemporary life in Pham Quang Long's novels appear diverse and complex, transformed by him into material filled with profound concern for people and social upheavals. Across shifts from the individual to the community, from the village to the city, the “core” remains human compassion - a value that must be upheld to resist alienation and heal the wounds inflicted by modern life. With subtle observation and a clear-eyed attitude, he does not judge but gently unveils reality, thereby suggesting a new discipline of living: one must adapt to survive, yet every adaptation must rest on an ethical foundation.

- Pham Quang Long's narrative art about contemporary life is shaped by non-linear, fragmented plot structures that though connect naturally through layers of retrospection, causing the present and the past to collide continuously. Although he uses little dramatic climax, he still creates very everyday “sharp points”, combining a polyphonic language system with flexible forms of dialogue and interior monologue to open up conflicts and highlight value clashes in life.
