Summary of thesis results: The research highlights the role of the press and the causes, forms of violence, consequences, and solutions to limit and prevent school violence in our country. Through media coverage, readers have gained a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the current state of school violence in our country. Urban areas have a higher rate of school violence than rural areas, and this rate is reflected in all educational levels mentioned. Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi have the highest rates of school violence in the country, followed by Hai Phong, Thai Nguyen, Bac Giang, Ha Tinh, Can Tho, Dong Nai, etc. School violence mainly occurs at the high school and middle school levels and is often associated with the psychological and physiological characteristics of the age group and educational level. Male perpetrators of violence are more prevalent than female perpetrators, and school violence often targets victims of the same gender. Research also shows that most cases of school violence involve large groups of participants or operate in gangs. School violence stems from various causes. Besides fundamental reasons such as a lack of attention and role models from family, school, and society, it also arises from reasons like: dislike of someone, collisions during playtime or on the way to school, excessive teasing, personal conflicts, slander on forums and social media, or even cases of early romantic relationships and revenge fights. Furthermore, the causes of school violence are divided by gender; female violence is often attributed to "jealousy and personal misunderstandings," while violence perpetrated by male perpetrators is usually "due to personal conflicts and dislike." School violence manifests in many forms, such as: hitting, punching, slapping, pulling hair, tearing clothes, using weapons to stab or slash, throwing acid, insulting, humiliating, and extorting. The majority of these acts of violence cause psychological trauma, mental distress, and physical injury. More seriously, many acts of violence have resulted in the loss of the victim's life. While the forms of punishment remain limited to disciplinary measures, public warnings, expulsion, lowering of student conduct grades, rehabilitation/detention, and a few instances of imprisonment for the perpetrators, most articles on the topic of school violence focus on offering practical solutions to mitigate this situation. The solutions presented in this research are derived from the actual reality, causes, and consequences of specific cases of school violence. Among the solutions proposed by the press, the three most prevalent focus on three fundamental environments: family, school, and society. Following these are solutions such as: students improving themselves; strengthening the dissemination of legal education to students; innovating the content and methods of teaching and learning; and providing life skills education for those who exhibit violent behavior… These are practical and comprehensive solutions to prevent school violence in our country today. 11. Practical application: The study has provided an overview of the role of the press and the current state of school violence in our country. Through data on school violence over two years (September 2010-September 2012), the research has identified the areas where violence occurs, characteristics regarding gender, educational level, causes, forms, handling methods, and solutions to prevent school violence in our country. In addition, the study also offers several recommendations to help families, schools, society, and relevant agencies prevent school violence more effectively. This provides social managers and policymakers with a stronger basis for developing better policies and measures to prevent school violence.
