10. Summary of the results of the thesis:
Psychological intervention for a case of homosexual men using Amphetamine has brought about certain results. With the successful application of a combination of psychological therapies such as positive behavior management, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy and the matrix model, the client has had positive changes in cognition, emotions and behavior.
Cognitively, the client has become aware that substance abuse is a priority that needs to change. The client has learned the knowledge and skills to reduce substance use and move towards stopping amphetamine use.
Emotionally, the client has reduced symptoms of depression, anxiety, stress and has begun to control cravings. The frequency of cravings has decreased from 10 to 1 on a scale of 10. The ability to control cravings has also improved, from 0 points to 6 points on a scale of 10.
Behaviorally, the client has actively developed and followed a daily work schedule, participated in favorite activities, and reduced and stopped activities that affect cravings and substance use behavior. The client's interval between uses has increased, from once a month to once every 2 months, once every 3 months, and now every 3 to 6 months.
11. Practical application:
With the results obtained from the theoretical and practical research process on a clinical case, the thesis presented an overview of a clinical case related to the application of a combination of psychological therapies to intervene in a case of homosexual men using amphetamine-like substances. The results of the clinical case study showed the effectiveness of applying and combining psychological therapies in the intervention for drug users. On that basis, experience was drawn, applied, and combined psychological therapies in the practice of psychological intervention for drug users.
