10. Summary of the thesis results:

Following our research on Adjustment Disorder (AD), we developed the concept that AD is a psychological disorder that individuals develop after experiencing certain social stressors. This disorder can manifest in cognitive symptoms, such as excessive anxiety about the consequences of the stressor; in emotional symptoms, such as low mood; or in behavioral symptoms, such as withdrawal from social interactions. These symptoms cause significant distress and interfere with the psychosocial functioning of the affected individual.

Therapy has proven highly effective in helping children manage stress, reduce avoidance behaviors, and alleviate excessive anxiety. It also corrects misconceptions about self and helps them gradually rediscover positive emotions. The therapy process incorporates systemic and family-structured approaches to maximize effectiveness. The therapist also actively seeks additional support from the family to facilitate faster recovery and prevent future problems.

11. Practical applications:

In reality, an increasing number of children with psychological difficulties are being discovered. These children experience a wide range of psychological disorders, yet only a small percentage receive professional psychological support. This prolongs their recovery and leads to the formation of distorted beliefs about themselves, others, and society. Adjustment disorder is a disorder that is easily overlooked due to its characteristics being easily confused with other disorders. This study of a clinical case hopes to contribute a small illustration to the clinical approach to this issue in children.

10. Summary of the results of the thesis:

After studying Adaptive Disorder (AD), we built the concept of AD as a psychological disorder that an individual has after experiencing some social stressors. The disorder can manifest in cognitive symptoms, such as excessive anxiety about the stressors' consequences, in emotional symptoms, such as low mood, or in symptom behavior, such as withdrawing from social interactions. These symptoms cause considerable distress and interfere with the psychological function of the affected individual.

Therapy has been shown to be very effective in helping children in managing stress, helping to reduce avoidance behaviors, and to worry excessively. In addition, the therapy also corrects misperceptions about yourself and gradually re-experiences positive emotions. The therapeutic process also applies systemic and family structured therapy for the best results for the child.

Special therapists also make efforts in finding more supportive resources from the family so that the child can recover faster and prevent it in the future.

11. Practical applicability in practice:

In fact, more and more children are discovering more and more cases of children with psychological difficulties, they encounter many psychological disorders, but only a few receive professional psychological support, which makes their recovery takes longer, and creates false beliefs about themselves, others, and society. Adaptive disorder is a disorder that is easily overlooked by traits that are easily confused with other disorders. With the study of a clinical case it is hoped to contribute a small illustration of the clinical approach to the problem of the child.
