Summary of thesis results: With the topic: “The current state of the Vietnamese working class structure - current situation and solutions”, the thesis has achieved the following results in the research process: The thesis has clarified some theoretical issues on social structure, social-class structure and working class structure; the concept of the working class and the Vietnamese working class. In particular, the concept of the working class structure has been built by the author on the basis of the concept of social-class structure. The thesis has identified and analyzed the factors affecting the transformation of the Vietnamese working class structure today. Specifically: the factor playing an important and decisive role in the transformation of the Vietnamese working class structure is the policy of industrialization and modernization of the country according to the market mechanism; the leadership of the Party and the management role of the State play a direct decisive role; Globalization and the knowledge economy are factors that contribute to and facilitate the rapid growth of the Vietnamese working class in terms of numbers, diversification of occupations, and improvement of professional skills. The current structure of the Vietnamese working class is analyzed in this thesis through four basic structural types. Firstly, regarding the economic sector structure: the proportion of workers in state-owned enterprises has been, is, and will continue to decline sharply; meanwhile, the number of workers in non-state enterprises and foreign-invested enterprises is increasing rapidly. Secondly, the occupational structure of the working class is becoming richer and more diverse with the emergence of many new economic sectors. However, workers in agriculture and services still account for a low percentage compared to the country's development needs. Thirdly, the educational level, skills, and professional expertise of workers have significantly improved, with the emergence of a highly skilled segment working in new sectors such as finance and banking, and information technology. Fourthly, the employment and job security of workers have been ensured. However, a segment of workers still have to work long hours and with high intensity, and a significant proportion of overtime and extra shifts; income within the working class is also becoming increasingly differentiated. These changes in the structure of the working class are twofold. On the one hand, they create favorable conditions for the working class to fulfill its historical mission; on the other hand, they also highlight shortcomings in the structure of the working class, leading to differentiation, disunity, and a reduction in the class's strength. Starting from identifying the new requirements of the period of accelerated industrialization and modernization of the country, the thesis has developed four basic groups of solutions to improve the structure of the Vietnamese working class during the period of accelerated industrialization and modernization of the country: solutions aimed at rapidly and harmoniously developing the structure of the working class in various industries and economic sectors; solutions aimed at raising the educational level, professional qualifications, and vocational skills, gradually intellectualizing the working class; solutions aimed at ensuring employment and narrowing the gap in wages and income of the working class; and solutions concerning the leadership role of the Party, the management role of the State, and the role of socio-political organizations. 12. Further research directions: Within the scope of this research, the thesis has not yet analyzed in depth the trends of changes in the structure of the Vietnamese working class in the coming years. Therefore, if conditions permit, the author of this thesis will continue to conduct more in-depth research on the structure of the working class, forecast and analyze in detail the trends of change in the structure of the working class, and thereby develop solutions to improve the structure of the working class to meet the new requirements of the industrialization and modernization of the country.

The thesis has pointed out and analyzed factors that have been affecting the structure change of the Vietnamese working class nowadays. The most important factor that will determine the structure change of the Vietnamese working class is a path of industrialization and modernization of the country according to the market mechanism; the leadership of the Party and management of the State are direct decision factors; globalization and knowledge economy are factors that contribute to promoting and facilitating the Vietnamese working class Vietnam in increased rapidly in number, rich in industrial structure and improve their profession. The current status of the Vietnamese working class has been analyzed into four basic structure types. First, the structure of the economic sectors: quantity of workers in state enterprises has been decreasing, while quantity of workers in non-state enterprises and enterprises with foreign capital investment has been increasing rapidly. Second, the structure of trade of the working class has become more diversified with the development of new industries. However, quantity of workers in agriculture and services is lower than development requirement of the country. Third, the structure of knowledge level, professional skills of workers have been improved clearly which results in there is some high quality groups working in the banking, information technology… Four, employment of workers is guaranteed.
