Summary of the results of the thesis: This study has demonstrated that patent information plays a very important role in technology management in enterprises. These are the roles: source of technical information, source of competitive information, and source of strategic information. At the same time, effectively exploiting unprotected patents (expired or not valid in Vietnam) is necessary in the current context of our country. This study has also identified barriers to the application of patent information in technology management in enterprises, including barriers in policy, organization, training-propaganda and capacity. Therefore, in order to effectively use patent information to serve the technology management process in enterprises, it is necessary to implement synchronous solutions to overcome these barriers. 11. Practical applicability: Proposing solutions to promote the exploitation of patent information to serve technology management in enterprises. 12. The present research has also surveyed what are the barriers to use of patent information in the technology management of enterprises.
