Summary of the results of the thesis: The thesis topic is structured into three parts, with the results reflected through the main contents as follows: CHAPTER I: Overview of the world economic crisis in 2008-2009 Causes of the economic crisis: originated from the burst of the subprime housing bubble in the US, and spread to large and small economies around the world. The crisis collapsed the entire monetary system of the world's leading banks and led to the bankruptcy of a series of economic corporations. This is a failure of policy, systemic faults. The crisis also forced the world to reconsider the ethical philosophy of development. CHAPTER II: Impact of the economic crisis on Vietnam. After 20 years of renovation, Vietnam's economy has achieved high growth rates, impressive poverty reduction, and has been recognized internationally. The global financial crisis has caused significant impacts on many areas of economic and social life. Impacts on economic growth, impacts on society, causing high inflation, fluctuating import and export turnover, trade deficit, and impacts on sustainable growth. Although the government has applied a number of effective stimulus measures. However, the consequences of the economic recession are not small, but they are also opportunities, contributing to changing Vietnam's position in the international arena. CHAPTER III: Some government solutions to the economic crisis The government has taken timely stimulus measures in the areas of investment-construction, currency, interest rates, exchange rates to combat economic recession and many consumer protection policies for workers. In addition, the government is also interested in international cooperation in an effort to prevent the crisis. Results achieved: Vietnam is one of the three countries with the lowest economic decline, and recovers quickly. Although the world economy has escaped the crisis by 2010, Vietnam's economy has recovered but is still uncertain. The prospect is bright but there are still potential macroeconomic instabilities. Vietnam must restructure, stabilize the macro economy, focus on administrative reform, fight corruption, prevent inflation, develop sustainably and ensure social security. 11.
