Summary of the results of the thesis: The role of economic capital: For Vietnamese small and medium enterprises in general and Ha Tinh small and medium enterprises in particular, it plays a particularly important role in the process of building, maintaining and developing enterprises. Economic capital includes: Financial capital, Technology-Engineering, Labor and Infrastructure. In the context of global economic recession, having adequate economic capital can develop production and business activities well. In fact, Ha Tinh small and medium enterprises face many difficulties in accessing capital, although the contribution of enterprises to economic development is very large. Access to economic capital: In fact, accessing economic capital in the process of building enterprises encounters many difficulties. Financial capital accessed through informal channels is accepted by enterprises because it does not require collateral. Technology and engineering have not really been given due attention and application. Labor resources have not met the requirements of technology as well as product quality. The province has a high level of technological risk due to the lack of practical application training. The infrastructure is not synchronized due to lack of planning, and there is no connection between management departments. 11. Practical applicability: The research results provide more scientific arguments for managers and policy makers in Ha Tinh province to perfect measures to develop enterprises, including policies on supporting enterprises, linking trade promotion to improve production and business efficiency to create more jobs and increase tax revenue for the country in the context of international economic integration in general, as well as integration between Ha Tinh and regions in Vietnam in particular. 12. Further research directions: In the process of developing production and business of enterprises, economic capital for production and business activities is an inevitable need to ensure the stable development of enterprises. The role of economic capital in the process of trade promotion, business networking and product research also brings many added values to enterprises. Within the framework of this thesis, the author stops at the level of research and study of the role of economic capital in the process of building, maintaining and developing enterprises, the situation, the difficulties in the process of accessing capital and the behaviors of accessing and mobilizing economic capital.
