The purpose of communication of parents with children When parents with children with autism talk to their children, they all aim to focus on the child, such as hoping for a change in the child or helping the child understand what is happening in life. These are still higher purposes that motivate parents to talk to their children. However, the communication purpose of the father is different from the communication purpose of the mother. The mother focuses more on the child, to help the child understand what is happening in life and to hope for some change in the child is the main driving force that helps the mother overcome everything to talk and communicate with her autistic child. But for the father, not only focusing on the child but also sharing feelings and releasing his own thoughts is very important. For the father, these two goals go hand in hand. 10.2. Frequency of communication time between parents and children The frequency of communication time between parents and children is at a relatively low level. The time parents spend with their children is mainly from 15 to 30 minutes, accounting for the majority, while in activities such as feeding or playing with children, parents spend more time with their children but only from 30 minutes to 1 hour. Particularly at the level of 4 hours or more, no parent can communicate with their children in daily activities. 10.3. Circumstances in which parents communicate with children Parents communicate with children in the following situations: playing with children, taking children to school, teaching children, bathing children, feeding children and putting children to bed. Parents mainly communicate with children at any free time. In the morning or afternoon, parents rarely communicate with children. In particular, at noon, almost no parents can communicate with children. 4. Content of parents' communication with children The issues that parents often mention to children are limited in terms of communication content. In daily life, parents can mention many issues, the words and actions will be very diverse and rich, but here we see that parents do not have much time for children, so when talking and communicating with children, the words and actions that parents mention to children are also very limited. 5. Forms of communication between parents and children Parents still use very limited forms of communication with children. Forms of communication are like a tool to support the transmission of content and issues that parents want to convey to their children. However, parents with children with autism have not used this tool effectively. 6. The impact of the communication process on children's progress Parents all admit that if they communicate with their children, it will help them be more proactive in the process of interacting with people, and they will make more progress than before, although this progress is not as fast as compared to normal children. Currently, scientists have not yet confirmed the cause of autism or how to treat this syndrome, but if parents actively communicate with their children, it will help them gradually overcome their limitations in communication and language. 11. Ability to apply in practice: It is a document serving in research for children with autism. 12. Further research directions: None 13. Published works related to the thesis: None
