- The thesis presented the guidelines and policies of the Central Party Committee and the Party Committee of Ha Dong province in building the militia and guerrilla forces during the resistance war against the French from 1945-1954. Under the leadership of the Party Committee, the militia and guerrilla forces were increasingly consolidated, built, and developed, making an important contribution to the victories of the army and people of the whole country in the protracted resistance war against the French invasion.

- By reconstructing that historical picture, the thesis has initially offered observations on the strengths and weaknesses in the leadership and development of the militia and guerrilla forces by the Party Committee of Ha Dong province, and drawn some lessons learned for the development of armed forces in general and militia and guerrilla forces in particular.

This thesis can be used as a source of information, enriching the theoretical body on building armed forces in general and guerrilla forces in particular in Ha Dong province (now part of Hanoi city).
