Summary of thesis results: - The motivation for academic achievement among students is a complex psychological phenomenon, playing a crucial role in the personality structure of students. This motivation is manifested in their cognition, emotions, and volitional actions. Like motivation for achievement in general, the motivation for academic achievement in students develops gradually from a low to a high level. - The motivation for academic achievement among Psychology students in the 2009-2010 academic year was mainly at an average level; however, the manifestations in cognition were more clearly evident than the manifestations in emotions and volitional actions of students with high motivation for academic achievement. - Many factors influence the level of motivation for academic achievement in students, but subjective factors such as the low level of self-awareness, self-affirmation, and self-responsibility in students' studies towards their families, society, and themselves are the most fundamental causes. 11.
