10. Summary of the thesis results: The thesis clarifies three issues:

- Firstly: Systematize the scientific basis and general theoretical basis of community-based tourism, especially in-depth research on issues related to community-based tourism models such as participants, development conditions, implementation process, impacts of the model and lessons learned from community-based tourism models of some countries and localities.

- Second: Research on the current status of community-based tourism model activities in Hoi An city, typically two models: Kim Bong carpentry village and Tra Que vegetable village. The research contents include: development resources, participants in the model, current status of model development, main results, limitations and causes. In addition, the impacts of the model on the economy, culture, society and environment as well as the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges for the development of community-based tourism models in Hoi An city are also assessed.

- Third: Based on the current status of model implementation and tourism development orientations of the city, the thesis presents some lessons learned and proposes solutions to organize community-based tourism model activities in Kim Bong carpentry village, Tra Que vegetable village in particular and Hoi An city in general to achieve higher efficiency.
