- Le Thi May was the first female poet of the anti-american generation wrote epics and achieved remarkable success. The thesis focuses on finding characters of content and art in Le Thi May's Epic, thereby highlighting the unique art style of the author.

- The thesis points out the unique images in Le Thi May's Epic. They are the imaginations of the soldier, the mother, the country, the ambition of happiness and the desire of winning which makes Vietnam to be indomitable, tenacity and beautiful in both wartime and peacetime.

- The Thesis finds out the familiar and new and innovative characteristics of the art in Le Thi May's Epic.
