Summary of the results of the thesis: - The thesis surveys the vocabulary provided in the set of textbooks for teaching Vietnamese to foreigners (Level A - B) currently used at the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. - We analyzed the surveyed source of language according to the lexical - grammatical characteristics of the vocabulary and analyzed the provision of vocabulary by topic in those textbooks. - From the survey of the vocabulary provided in the textbooks, we made comments and assessments on the quantity, quality as well as the methods of providing vocabulary in those textbooks and at the same time suggested and proposed a number of solutions and recommendations to contribute to the correction, consolidation and supplementation of Vietnamese textbooks in the next compilations and corrections.
  12. Practical applicability: The thesis analyzes and provides comments to compile a unified Vietnamese language teaching curriculum for foreign students.
  13. Further research directions: The thesis aims to study the provision of vocabulary in the entire curriculum of teaching Vietnamese to foreigners. On the other hand, we also aim to find an objective basis for the criteria for determining the standards set for students after studying each level and studying through all levels.
