Summary of Thesis Results: False information in print media is on the rise in recent years. This, besides reducing the credibility of the press, also causes public resentment because it takes a lot of time, effort, and even money to correct the consequences of such false information. Correcting false information is essentially a legally defined activity, specifically and clearly regulated in the Press Law and related decrees concerning journalistic activities. However, current journalistic practices show that the issue of correcting false information has not been given sufficient attention and seriously implemented by newspapers. This research topic on false information and its correction is the first of its kind to be studied. It will clarify the types of false information currently published in print media and the current state of its correction. The initial results of the study will reveal the causes of false information in the press, point out the advantages and limitations of correcting false information in print media today, and suggest ways to correct false information in Vietnamese print media in the future. The research results have shown that: Press agencies that prioritize the issue of misinformation and correction of misinformation will achieve higher communication effectiveness and ensure better credibility with readers. 11. Practical applications: - This topic has high practical value because it helps professionals avoid errors in their work. - The thesis also helps managers gain a more realistic view of the issue of correcting misinformation in the press today, thereby making adjustments and building a more reasonable legal framework for journalistic activities. 12. Future research directions: Due to limited research time, the thesis has not been able to specifically "measure" public feedback on the issue of correcting misinformation in print media today. This topic will open up research directions on: Public feedback on misinformation and the impact of that feedback on journalistic information activities. 13. Summary of the findings of the thesis: Wrong information in printing newspapers is tending to increase in some recents years, which makes public reliability towards the press down and causes pressing in public opinions. That is because many time and effort, even money have been wasted to restore the consequences of the wrong information. The wrong information corrections are actually legal actions which given explicitly and specifically in the Press Law and other relevant Decrees for the Press activities. However, activities of the Press in reality now show that wrong information corrections have been carried out strictly and attentively. The subject which carried out on the wrong information and their corrections is firstly researched, has made clear the wrong information in the current printing newspapers and actual situations in corrections for those information. First results of the subject have pointed out some reasons of wrong information in the press, advantages and limitations of the wrong information correction in the printing newspapers nowadays as well. The results also have shown out: If the press agencies pay attention to wrong informations and corrections for those, they will archive communications effects and keep their prestige better towards readers. 12. Practical applicability, if any: - This highly practical subject will contribute to help people of the profession avoid mistakes in working process. - The thesis also helps manage a clear vision about wrong information corrections in the press in current time. From there, they will have adjustments and build a legal system more properly for the press activities. 13. Further research directions, if any: Due to time limit of the research, the thesis has not yet “measured” feedback of the public more particularly for the correction of wrong information on printing newspapers nowadays. This subject will open a new research direction about: Feedbacks of the public towards the wrong information and impact of those feedbacks on the press information activities 14.
