Summary of thesis results: With the topic: “The issue of poverty eradication in Vietnam in the context of international integration”, the thesis achieved the following results during the research process: Firstly, summarizing some basic concepts of poverty; outlining the global poverty situation, the impact of international integration and the role of international organizations on socio-economic development and poverty eradication worldwide; studying the poverty eradication experiences of countries in the region and drawing lessons for Vietnam. Secondly, comprehensively analyzing the poverty situation in Vietnam from 1998 to the present, evaluating the successes and limitations of Vietnam's poverty eradication programs and policies during this period. In particular, the thesis deeply analyzes the impact of international integration and the role of support programs from countries and international organizations on poverty eradication in Vietnam in the past period. Thirdly, the thesis clearly analyzes the characteristics of the new context, the advantages, difficulties, opportunities, and challenges for poverty reduction in Vietnam in this new context, thereby setting requirements, objectives, and proposing some recommendations and solutions to improve the effectiveness of poverty reduction activities in Vietnam during the period of accelerated international integration. 11. Practical application: From the channels of impact of international integration on Vietnam's poverty reduction efforts, which have been analyzed quite deeply in the thesis, policymakers have a basis and arguments to enact policy solutions to prevent risks and limit negative impacts, promote and take advantage of positive impacts in the process of designing and implementing poverty reduction programs and policies in Vietnam during the process of accelerated international integration. The requirements and objectives for poverty reduction in the new context presented in this thesis, especially the new approach to poverty in this new context, are extremely important for poverty reduction programs and policies in Vietnam in the coming period to be truly effective and appropriate to the practical situation. 12. Further research directions: Continue to conduct in-depth research on the impact of international integration on poverty reduction in Vietnam in the coming period.

Practical applicability, if any: From the impact of international integration to poverty reduction in Vietnam, that is deeply analyzed in the thesis, policy makers have background to issue policies to minimize the risks and negative impacts, promote and enlise the positive impacts in the process of designing and developing the poverty reduction programs and policies in Vietnam in the context of promoting international integration. The requirements and objectives of poverty reduction in the new context that is presented in the thesis, especially the new methods of approach to poverty in the new context are very important in order to make the poverty reduction programs and policies in Vietnam in the next period promote their impacts and appropriate with practice. 12. Further research directions, if any: To further study the impact of international integration to poverty alleviation in Vietnam in the near future.
