10. Summary of the thesis results: The thesis analyzed and clarified the basic contents regarding the origin and development, doctrines, and ethical categories of Theravada Buddhism. It examined the introduction of Theravada Buddhism into Vietnam and Vinh Long province; and the current state of the moral life of the people of Vinh Long province. From this, it analyzed and clarified the influence of Theravada Buddhism on the moral life of the people of Vinh Long province. Through aspects of thought, concepts, lifestyle, customs, traditions, culture, art, behavior, festivals, rituals, etc., under the influence of Theravada Buddhism, it reflected a general picture of the moral life of the local people. The thesis also offered some recommendations for the State management of Theravada Buddhism and for the Buddhist Sangha, monks, organizations, and temples of Theravada Buddhism to best promote the values of Theravada Buddhism in the moral life of the people of Vinh Long province.
