Specifically, we have generalized and given an objective view of the causes, manifestations and meanings of the phenomenon of genre intersection between stories and memoirs in some of this writer's works. The thesis is divided into 3 chapters, chapter 1 builds the practical and theoretical foundations on the process of movement and intersection, blurring between stories and memoirs, especially in the context of contemporary literary creation. At the same time, we also focus on clarifying Khai Don's viewpoints and creative career. In chapter 2, the thesis focuses on exploiting and analyzing the manifestation of genre intersection in some specific works of Khai Don:Mekong – drifting alluvium, In the carnival, Deep rocky water.This phenomenon reflects not only the artistic and content characteristics of the novel and memoir texts of writer Khai Don, but also contributes to affirming the interaction between the characteristics of creative ideology, creative methods, readers' tastes, etc. on the appearance of the genre.
