11. Summary of resultsnewof the thesis:

Within 1 year after giving birth, women are at risk of developing anxiety symptoms in 4 different types of anxiety disorders: panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Furthermore, women are also at risk of developing pathological postpartum anxiety at different levels from mild, moderate to severe and need professional intervention and help.

There are many factors that affect anxiety in postpartum women such as: economic and financial pressure; stress between husband and wife during pregnancy and childbirth; self-assessment of the woman; support from husband and relatives; place of residence of the mother (urban or rural).

The results of the study have contributed to the theory of anxiety and postpartum anxiety disorders in the context that in Vietnam there are not many works in the field of the topic; contributing to a diverse view of the psychological disorder situation in postpartum women.

12. Practical application:

The research results of the thesis are a useful reference for pregnant and postpartum women, those who care for pregnant women, and researchers to have measures to support women to reduce anxiety and have a healthy and happy pregnancy.

13. Further research directions:

If we have the conditions and time, we will develop a project on applying psychological therapy to women with postpartum anxiety disorders.
