10. Summary of the thesis results:

In Vietnam, many areas have successfully raised wild boars, bringing high profits to farmers and contributing to the diversification of livestock products, the shift in agricultural structure, job creation, and increased income for farmers. However, people also face many difficulties in implementing their farming activities. The people in Vu Oai commune, Hoanh Bo district, Quang Ninh province are no exception, experiencing both advantages and disadvantages. The most obvious difficulties faced by farmers are the lack of knowledge and farming techniques, the limited cooperation among them, and the lack of community spirit. Solving this problem requires the participation of the entire society, along with policies and mechanisms that create favorable conditions for the development of farmers, slaughterhouses, businesses, and the involvement of social workers. To achieve this, the entire community must work together, connecting into a closed chain from farmers to the final consumers.

This thesis assesses the current wild boar farming activities in the locality. The results show that Vu Oai commune has potential for wild boar farming. In fact, the commune has implemented many activities to encourage people to engage in this activity. However, the lack of knowledge and farming techniques is a major limitation that makes many people hesitant. This is also considered the main need of the people in this activity. Based on this, we identify resources within the community and aim to connect these resources to support people in acquiring knowledge and techniques to raise public awareness about safe farming methods, not only for farmers but also for consumers, with the goal of building a progressively developing and sustainable livestock sector.

11. Practical applications:

10. Summary of the thesis results:

In Vietnam, many places have been successful in raising wild boars, bringing high profits to farmers and also contributing to the diversification of livestock products, restructuring agriculture, creating jobs and income for farmers. However, people also face many difficulties in the process of implementing their livestock activities. People living in Vu Oai commune, Hoanh Bo district, Quang Ninh province are also in the above situation, they have both advantages and difficulties. The difficulties that the farmers have to face are most evident in the lack of knowledge and techniques of breeding, less linkage and community connection. In order to solve this problem, it is necessary to have the participation of the whole society together with mechanisms and policies to facilitate the development of farming households, slaughterhouses, businesses and connection of the social workers, etc. In order to do so, the whole community needs to join hand, connecting into a closed chain from the farmers to the end consumers.

In this thesis, we have evaluated the current wild boars farming activities in the locality. The results show that Vu Oai commune is a potential place for raising wild boars. In fact, the commune has implemented many activities to encourage people to implement the livestock. However, the lack of knowledge and techniques of breeding is a major constraint that many people are afraid of. This is also considered the main need of the people in this activity.
