Summary of thesis results: We conducted the research topic "Counseling for high school students with deviant behavior in school" at Nha Nam High School – Tan Yen – Bac Giang with two main methods: using questionnaires and individual, direct counseling. The results of the thesis can be summarized in a few points as follows: * Regarding the reality of deviant behavior among high school students: We presented all 43 deviant behaviors related to learning, relationships at school, and social safety: There was no deviant behavior that students considered "completely absent" at school, including serious behaviors such as: using or trading/possessing drugs. The majority of behaviors were assessed as "occasionally" violating. Behaviors related to learning were the group of behaviors with the highest violation rate, especially the following behaviors: Cheating during tests; not studying or doing homework; and being late. * Regarding awareness: Most students consider deviant behaviors to be "unacceptable." However, they still violate these rules for many reasons: difficulty controlling themselves, a desire to experiment, interest in various issues, carelessness, etc. * Counseling students with deviant behaviors is a difficult and complex task. The most common difficulty is that students with deviant behaviors often appear "uncooperative." Behind these deviant behaviors, most students have very complex psychological difficulties related to themselves, their families, and their relationships. To help them, counselors need to work with many relevant parties. Counseling also needs to be conducted in a "different" way than conventional counseling. Counselors need to be flexible, avoid overemphasizing the problem, and be able to provide life skills to the students. 11. Practical applications: The topic has presented recommendations for schools, teachers, parents, and school psychologists on how to approach and help children with deviant behavior, as well as measures to prevent this phenomenon. 12. Future research directions: None. 13. Published works related to the thesis: None.
