Summary of the thesis results: Ngo Cao Lang's *Lich Trieu Tap Ky* (Miscellaneous Records of Dynastic Dynasties) is a valuable unofficial history – a private history – from a literary documentary perspective. It can provide insight into many aspects of medieval Vietnamese literature, supplementing our understanding of various facets of medieval Vietnamese literature, from literary concepts to aesthetic concepts, literary life, and the language and writing systems of literature. In particular, it highlights the unique court poetry recitation style of the Lords who loved poetry, and especially the Trinh Lords' fondness and expertise in Nôm script, which elevated Nôm script to the same level as Han script – the script considered the national and orthodox writing system. The thesis also provides a basis for a source of information on a medieval literary author and an unofficial history, which still lacks depth in research and reception. 12. Practical applications: None 13. Future research directions: None 14. Published works related to the thesis: None

Summary of the findings of the thesis: Lich trieu tap ki, a set of Vietnamese literary history written by Ngo Cao Lang, is considered a highly precious book in terms of literature resources. Through the novel, people can deeply understand many historical issues in medieval time, adding information on medieval Vietnamese historical literature such as the literature concept, aesthetic concept, the literature life and language in literature. In particular, the distinctive features in royal poetry composing together with the favor of Nom script and master in Nom script by the Trinh Lords brings the Nom balance with Han in value while Han script had been considered as the official national language. This thesis plays a role as a material resource, contributing to studying a medieval author and a historical novel that hasn't been deeply researched and propagandized before. 12.
