Summary of thesis results: The thesis "The Role of Religion in Educating Moral Values for Catholic Children (Case Study of Several Parishes in Hanoi)" shows that Catholicism is one of the religions that highly values religious education for children and plays an active role in educating moral values for young children. Moral education for Catholic children mainly takes place in two environments: the church and the family, with various rich forms of education that attract the attention of parents and children. In Christian education for children, the priest is an important figure, playing a role in managing and organizing educational activities, controlling the implementation of religious and moral values in children, as well as the fulfillment of religious obligations in the education of children by parents. Catechists play a direct role in educating young children about religion and moral values with a spirit of selfless service. The role of parents is paramount in educating children about moral values; it is both a right and a responsibility of parents towards their children, but also a responsibility towards religion. Essentially, the moral values that Christianity aims to instill in children are good values, consistent with Vietnamese customs, traditions, and common moral concepts. The impact of Christian morality on children is relatively clear in the scope, scale, and intensity of educational activities. Moral education takes place proactively, with clear purposes and means, regularly and continuously, and has a positive impact on the formation and development of the personality of Christian children. However, these effects are not the same for every child; the level of absorption of the moral values that Christianity brings to children varies, depending on the child themselves and their family. In short, religion – specifically Christianity – plays a certain and positive role in educating children about moral values, which are good moral values that need to be promoted in today's society. 11.
