This thesis presents the current situation, causes, and influencing factors affecting the problem of academic discouragement and school dropout among ethnic minority students at Tan Linh Secondary School – Tan Linh commune – Luc Yen district – Yen Bai province.

Based on the specific factors and characteristics of the research area, this study proposes recommendations and solutions to combat the problem of academic discouragement and school dropout among ethnic minority students, and to improve the mental well-being of people with disabilities. The study also proposes an operational model.

Applying social work methods in a research-oriented approach to identify the pull, push, and hold factors affecting ethnic minority students, thereby proposing specific intervention solutions for further research related to the issue of school dropout among ethnic minority students.
