10. Summary of the thesis results:
The results of this thesis reveal the current state of social support for the elderly in Trung Liet Ward, Dong Da District, Hanoi City. Based on this, I have proposed several solutions for various aspects of the elderly's lives. The proposed solutions for material, mental, and health support involve coordination among various social forces, including the elderly themselves, their families, and external relationships (relatives, neighbors, friends, local authorities, social organizations, etc.). With this close coordination, social support for the elderly will be strengthened and improved. The coordinated implementation of these solutions is demonstrated within families, where children and grandchildren are responsible for supporting, caring for, and looking after the elderly. In society, charitable organizations and socio-economic organizations both locally and internationally provide assistance and create conditions to ensure the best possible support for the elderly, especially those facing difficulties in life. Local senior citizen associations, in coordination with local authorities and the families of the elderly, monitor the health and well-being of the elderly, both mentally and materially, and provide additional support. These measures help the elderly feel more comfortable and optimistic, enabling them to continue contributing to the country's development.
11. Practical applications:
The research findings will provide insights for a better understanding of the elderly in all aspects of their lives today: mental, material, and health-related. It will highlight the importance of social support for the elderly, thereby further promoting material and emotional assistance for them.

10. Summary of the findings of the thesis:
Findings of the thesis show the situation of social support for elderly people in Trung Liet ward, Dong Da district, Hanoi. Based on these findings, some recommendations to improve every aspect of the elderly people's lives are brought forward. It is essential to establish the cooperation between different stakeholders, including the elderly themselves, their families, and their relationships outside the family (eg kinship, neighbors, friends, local authorities, mass organizations…) to provide material, spiritual, health care support to the elderly. specifically, descendants should take the responsibility to take care of the elderly people in the family. Social political organizations and charitable organizations within and outside the locality should facilitate the best support to the elderly, especially those living in difficult circumstances. Local associations of the elderly should collaborate with local authorities and families of the elderly in order to know about their health situation as well as their material and spiritual lives, then bring about practical solutions to improve social support to the elderly. With these supports, the older people will be able to live longer and healthier and continue to contribute to the country's development.
