The results of the thesis show us the current situation of social support for the elderly in Trung Liet Ward - Dong Da District - Hanoi City, from which I have proposed a number of solutions for each area of ​​the elderly's life. The solutions for material, spiritual, health - medical support proposed above have the coordination between social forces, which are the elderly themselves, their families, and relationships outside the family (relatives, neighbors, friends, local authorities, organizations, and groups in society, etc.). With this close coordination, social support for the elderly will be increasingly strengthened. The coordination in implementing these solutions is reflected in the family, where children and grandchildren have the responsibility to support, care for, and pay attention to the elderly, and in society, where charitable organizations and socio-economic organizations in and outside the locality help and create conditions for the elderly to receive the best support, especially those who are facing difficulties in life. With the local Elderly Association, coordinating with local authorities and the families of the elderly to grasp the health situation as well as the spiritual and material lives of the elderly, from which there are additional support measures for the elderly. These measures help the elderly feel more comfortable and optimistic, and continue to contribute their efforts and the development of the country.

The research results will be a suggestion to better understand the elderly today in all aspects of life: spiritual, material, health - medical. Realize the importance of social support for the elderly, in order to further promote material and spiritual support for them.

Social political organizations and charitable organizations within and outside the locality should facilitate the best support to the elderly, especially those living in difficult circumstances. Local associations of the elderly should collaborate with local authorities and families of the elderly in order to know about their health situation as well as their material and spiritual lives, then bring about practical solutions to improve social support to the elderly. With these supports, the older people will be able to live longer and healthier and continue to contribute to the country's development.
