The thesis has clarified the basic theory related to the design and layout of the front page of the Party newspaper. Specifically, it includes: basic concepts: local Party newspaper, front page of local Party newspaper, design and layout; Role and characteristics of design and layout of the front page of local Party newspaper; principles and methods of design and layout of the front page of local Party newspaper. This is an important theoretical framework for the author to use as a basis to evaluate the current status of design and layout of the front page of local Party newspaper.

The thesis evaluates the current status of front page design and layout of the surveyed newspapers: Vinh Long, Can Tho and Ca Mau. The thesis points out the successes and limitations, the causes affecting the design and layout of the front page of the surveyed newspapers. This is the basis for the author to propose solutions and recommendations on the design and layout of the front page of the Party newspapers of the Southwest provinces today.

Therefore, the next research direction of the thesis will focus on studying more deeply the layout and artistic creation to contribute to designing and presenting the newspaper page more aesthetically and modernly.
