Summary of the thesis results: The thesis provides an overview of the current Vietnamese radio industry. Traditional radio is facing enormous challenges as competition among various forms of media intensifies. To survive and thrive, radio must find its own path, and the strong development of non-traditional radio formats is an inevitable trend. Besides the existing advantages, the thesis also highlights the challenges of non-traditional radio in modern society. The thesis delves into two non-traditional radio formats: internet radio and mobile radio, through surveys of Tuoi Tre Radio and Viettel Radio, pointing out fundamental differences from traditional radio and the superior strengths of these new formats. This thesis compares and contrasts the similarities and differences in production processes, program structure, and target audiences between internet radio and mobile radio, thereby identifying the advantages, limitations, and unique characteristics of each method, and assessing its value to journalists and the Vietnamese radio media. The author also initially proposes methods and measures to improve the effectiveness of non-traditional radio broadcasting methods. 11. Practical application: This thesis serves as a reference document for training and research institutions in journalism and media, especially those researching radio broadcasting in general and non-traditional radio broadcasting in particular. Applying some of the recommendations and solutions presented by the author will contribute to the development of Tuoi Tre Radio and Viettel Radio, as well as promote non-traditional radio broadcasting methods in Vietnam.

Summary of the findings of the thesis: The thesis has led to an overview of the Vietnamese broadcasting industry today. In particular, the traditional broadcasting has confronted with great challenges while a variety of information has competed to each other more and more fiercely. For continuous existence and development, broadcasting is subject to find its own way and the strong growth of nontraditional forms of broadcasting is an inevitable trend. Apart from available advantages, the thesis has also highlighted the challenges of nontraditional broadcasting in modern society. The thesis has gone into the details of researching 2 forms of nontraditional broadcasting; ie, Internet broadcasting and mobile broadcasting via Tuoi Tre Radio and Viettel Radio, identifying the fundamental differences between nontraditional broadcasting and traditional one, and outstanding advantages of these new forms of broadcasting.
