Summary of the results of the thesis: In the thesis "Medical - health information in printed newspapers today", the author of the thesis conducted a survey on the Science & Life and Health & Life newspapers on the content and form of health information on these two newspapers, and at the same time proposed a number of solutions to improve the effectiveness of health information in the press. The content of health information in the Science & Life and Health & Life newspapers includes: Information on the introduction of policies of the Party, State, and the health sector on the issue of health care for the people; Information on epidemics; Information on medical achievements, new techniques in treatment; Information on prevention and treatment of some common diseases and groups of diseases; Information on medical - health consultation. Some forms of expression include: textual information language (title, genre), non-textual information language (color, photo, illustration, etc.). Health information in the press was specifically surveyed through two printed publications, one of which is the mouthpiece of the Ministry of Health, further confirming the urgent need of the community for health care. Solutions to improve the quality of health information in the press: For management levels: it is necessary to make people understand clearly the policies and guidelines of the Party and State in the work of taking care of people's health. For printed newspaper editorial offices: strengthen the training of editors who are good at expertise and have medical knowledge, flexibly conveying specialized medical content into issues that are close and easy for the public to understand. Each newspaper needs to have strict control over content, avoiding articles that are not objective appearing in the press. In addition, the columns that create exchanges between readers and the press need to be exploited more effectively to both take advantage of people's knowledge and avoid the situation of imposing and one-way information. 11. The content of health information on both of “Science & Life” and “Health & Life” includes: the information of giving policies from the Party, the State, Medical sector on health care issues for the people; disease information; medical achievement information, new techniques in the treatment; the information on identification, prevention and treatment of common diseases; advice on medical, health issues, etc. There are several types of expressions such as: written language (headline, type), non-text language (color, photos, illustrated images, etcs). Health information on the press is surveyed specifically through two printed publications including a special newspaper, the organ of the Ministry of Health. It affirms certainly that the need of community for health care is really necessary and urgent. Solutions to improve the quality of health information on the press: Regarding for management authorities, they should help people understand adequately the policies and lines of the Party and State in providing health care services to all people. For the printed newspaper house, they should strengthen more training for professional editors about medical knowledge, flexibly transfer the advanced knowledge into closed and receptive issues to the public. Each paper articles should be strictly controlled about the content to avoid that there are some is not objective appearing on the newspapers.
